★ ★ ★ ★ ★ villa malaparte is just one truly amazing part of this world class site along the bottom of capri. starting at the intersection of via arco naturale and the ristorante le grottelle, the via del pizzolungo (the pizzolungo path) parallels the southern coast of the island, high on the cliffs, affording amazing views, natural sites such as an unmarked ancient cave, the spectacular malaparte and the faraglioni rock formation. start at the restaurant and descend the countless steep steps to enjoy one unforgettable view after another. if you really want to feel the burn, start at the western end of pizzolungo and end by going up the steps, finishing for a final well-deserved cool drink at le grottelle! a prerequisite viewing of Jean Luc Godard's film masterpiece "Contempt (Le Mepris)" is a must!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing experience. The best of the best in Capri. The owner and waiter was very attentive. Gave us a tasting of his own olive oil. Homemade pasta, delicious linguine zucchini highly recommended and Angus beef Rib eye! Included lemonchello with desert. 6 Stars if I could.
