β β β β β Il terreno venne nel 1642 concesso ai frati francescani Minori Riformati, giΓ presenti a Chieri da qualche anno. Vi costruirono la chiesa, dedicata a Santa Maria della Pace in ringraziamento per la fine della guerra civile tra Madama Reale ed i suoi due cognati, il cardinal Maurizio ed il principe Tommaso.
I frati minori furono attivi fino alla soppressione napoleonica degli ordini religiosi (1802).
Nel 1869 i Lazzaristi di Torino acquistarono a nome di due padri missionari Giovanni e Cesare Rinaldi, l'intero complesso.
Il convento venne subito ampliato per divenire sede di esercizi spirituali, del noviziato e dello studentato filosofico della Provincia.
The land was granted in 1642 to the Franciscan Minor Reformed friars, already present in Chieri for some years. They built the church, dedicated to Santa Maria della Pace in thanksgiving for the end of the civil war between Madama Reale and her two brothers-in-law, Cardinal Maurizio and Prince Tommaso.
The Friars Minor were active until the Napoleonic suppression of religious orders (1802).
In 1869 the Lazzaristi of Turin purchased on behalf of two missionary fathers Giovanni and Cesare Rinaldi, the entire complex.
The convent was immediately enlarged to become a venue for spiritual exercises, the novitiate and the philosophical student residence of the Province.
