La guida c'ha spiegato la storia del film "la terra trema" e la parte dedicata ai Malavoglia. Bravissima e molto preparata è riuscita a trasmettere la sua passiose ed entusiasmo. Il prezzo di 1.50 euro è onesto considerando che è un'associazione no profit che punta a valorizzare il territorio. Infatti con il ricavato investono nella manutenzione del museo. Nonostante sia composto di sole 2 stanze che appaiono un po' polverese, rispecchiano in modo molto realistico la realtà narrata da Verga. Consiglio a tutti di dedicare mezz'oretta per fermarsi a visitare questo museo. I had read many negative reviews about this place but despite this I wanted to visit it, luckily. The guide explained the story of the film "la terra trema" and the part dedicated to the Malavoglias. Very good and very prepared she managed to convey her steps and enthusiasm. The price of 1.50 euros is honest considering that it is a non-profit association that aims to enhance the territory. In fact, with the proceeds they invest in the maintenance of the museum. Despite being composed of only 2 rooms that appear a bit dusty, they reflect in a very realistic way the reality narrated by Verga. I recommend everyone to take half an hour to stop and visit this museum.

Tavoli con vista mare. Prezzi onesti. Raccomando altamente. The fixed menu with appetizer and mixed fish as a second above the standards. Very fresh fish, hot frying and attentive and helpful service. Tables with sea view. Honest prices. I highly recommend.

Se avete risposto affermativo siete sulla buona strada perché sono andato a vedere la famosa "Casa del Nespolo". In questa casa vengono messi in risalto tutti gli attrezzi e oggetti della vita lavorativa e quotidiana delle famiglie e degli stessi pescatori che vivevano ad Aci Trezza. Entrambe le stanze sono contornate da foto delle scene del film e lettere di Giovanni Verga. Posto da visitare assolutamente se ti vuoi immergere in un passato non troppo lontano con una piccola visita guidata con una signora molto brava e cordiale che ti spiega tutto minuziosamente, ve lo consiglio. If you answered yes, you are on the right track because I went to see the famous "Casa del Nespolo". Both rooms are surrounded by photos of the scenes from the film and letters from Giovanni Verga. Place to visit absolutely if you want to immerse yourself in a not too distant past with a small guided tour with a very good and friendly lady who explains everything in detail, I recommend it.

All’interno del cuore del borgo marino di Aci Trezza potete trovare il Museo della Casa del Nespolo, un luogo magico dal quale è possibile entrare nelle pagine del celebre romanzo di Verga “I Malavoglia”. La casa che ospita il museo risale alla prima metà del XIX secolo ed è l’esempio perfetto delle case dei pescatori che a quell’epoca abitavano Aci Trezza. La struttura è composta da un cortile e un orto al quale si accede attraverso un suggestivo arco in pietra lavica. All’interno la casa è composta da due stanze: la prima, dedicata al celebre film “La terra trema” di Luchino Visconti che fu girato nel 1947 proprio ad Aci Trezza, custodisce testimonianze che si riferiscono al film e alla sua realizzazione, mentre la seconda sala del museo, chiamata la “Stanza dei Malavoglia”, custodisce reperti che attestano le abitudini e gli strumenti utilizzati dai pescatori locali durante l’Ottocento, inoltre, il museo conserva una piccola collezione di lettere e fotografie realizzate dal celebre scrittore siciliano Giovanni Verga. Inside the heart of the seaside village of Aci Trezza you can find the Museum of the Casa del Nespolo, a magical place from which you can enter the pages of Verga's famous novel "I Malavoglia". The house that houses the museum dates back to the first half of the nineteenth century and is the perfect example of the fishermen's houses who lived in Aci Trezza at that time. The structure consists of a courtyard and a vegetable garden which is accessed through a suggestive lava stone arch. Inside, the house consists of two rooms: the first, dedicated to the famous film "La terra trema" by Luchino Visconti which was shot in 1947 in Aci Trezza, contains testimonies that refer to the film and its making, while the second room of the museum, called the "Room of the Malavoglia", houses artifacts that attest to the habits and tools used by local fishermen during the nineteenth century, moreover, the museum houses a small collection of letters and photographs made by the famous Sicilian writer Giovanni Verga .
