Il titolare è una persona cortese e disponibilissima, esperto nel suo mestiere; durante gli assaggi dei formaggi ti descrive le diversità in modo eccelso. Ho scoperto che quello che chiamavo banalmente "cacio cavallo" è invece un formaggio dai 1000 gusti!!! Altro aspetto da non trascurare è il confezionamento del prodotto; può essere effettuato col sottovuoto, in modo da poterlo trasportare durante il rientro dal viaggio senza deteriorarlo. The owner is a courteous and extremely available person, expert in his trade; during the tasting of the cheeses he describes you the diversities in an excellent way. I discovered that what I used to call "cacio cavallo" is instead a cheese with 1000 flavors !!! Passando per Modica non si può non far tappa alla Casa del Formaggio, dove un appassionato e competente padrone di casa vi porterà in viaggio tra i sapori e i colori dei più buoni formaggi siculi. Tra assaggi, racconti e degustazioni, il tempo passa e non te ne accorgi. Consigliatissimo. One of the nicest experiences of my stay in Sicily. Passing through Modica you cannot fail to stop at the Casa del Formaggio, where a passionate and competent host will take you on a journey through the flavors and colors of the best Sicilian cheeses. Vi spiegherà la storia delle materie e degli uomini che sono dietro ai prodotti che offre in vendita con un garbo ed un maestria che vi sazierà ancor di più dell'assaggio stesso. Mr. Giorgio is not a trader but a passionate and expert selector of dairy pearls (and not only) that the territory offers. Są tu także wina, oleje, makarony oraz pasty do makaronów. Właściciel sklepu potrafi także doradzić który wyrób do jakiej potrawy najlepiej użyć. W razie potrzeby nie ma problemu z degustacja produktów, co jest napewno na plus w tym miejscu. Bez problemu porozumieć się tu można i po angielsku i po włosku ;) I wholeheartedly recommend this local shop with local products. However, the advantage of specialization lies more in cheeses than in meat products. There are also wines, oils, pasta and pasta pastes. The store owner can also advise which product to use for which dish. If necessary, there is no problem with tasting the products, which is definitely a plus in this place. You can easily communicate here in English and Italian;)

Although I'm always willing to struggle along in Italian, he knew enough English to make things easy for me, and should you be intending to pack any of the products for a flight, he knows how to seal and package them appropriately.
