Opera dell'architetto Giulio Ulisse Arata, ospitò la sede dell'azienda cinematografica Pathè, della quale è ancora visibile l'insegna in una decorazione al livello strada. Ha un aspetto molto gotico con delle specie di gargoyle, elementi in ferro battuto e le finestre che riprendono quelle dei castelli medievali. Ad aggiungere una nota di mistero l'ingresso che da su via Boscovich, con degli strani nomi sul citofono...
This building built in the early 20th century is an example of an eclectic style. Work of the architect Giulio Ulisse Arata, it hosted the headquarters of the Pathè film company, of which the sign is still visible in a decoration on the street level. It has a very gothic appearance with gargoyle species, wrought iron elements and windows that recall those of medieval castles. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo e curioso palazzo, ex sede della casa cinematografica francese Pathé.
L'ingresso di via Boscovich al n. 32 è caratterizzato dalla presenza del bellissimo mosaico in piastrelle opera di Galileo Chini.
Per chi ha un occhio attento e dovesse imbattersi in questa via consiglio di soffermarsi ad osservarlo, non tanto per la bellezza del palazzo, che comunque è molto particolare, ma quanto per la storia racchiusa in esso.
Non è una delle attrazioni maggiori di Milano ma trovandosi nei pressi della stazione centrale di Milano una sbirciatina sarebbe d'obbligo.
Beautiful and curious building, former seat of the French film house Pathé.
The entrance of via Boscovich at n. 32 is characterized by the presence of the beautiful tile mosaic by Galileo Chini.
For those who have a keen eye and should come across this street, I recommend stopping to observe it, not so much for the beauty of the building, which is still very particular, but for the history contained in it.
It is not one of the major attractions of Milan but being near the central station of Milan a peek would be a must.
