Nel 1418, questo stabile apparteneva allora o ai Pepoli, o agli Aldrovandi, o agli Alienisi.I Bovi, forse originari di Castenaso, nel 1561 erano ricchi mercanti. La loro casata si divise in due rami, in quello della via Toschi, e in quello di Strada Santo Stefano. Nel 1621 ebbero il senatorato.Anticamente le case erano dei Beccadelli, per poi passare ai Bovi. All’intetno sel cortile vi sono lapidi romane che ricordano la gente bovia. Al piano nobile di questo stabile la cui facciata guarda sul complesso di Santo Stefano, si conservano due stanze decorate a fresco con quadrature di D. Zanotti e S. Barozzi e figure di U. Gandolfi (1774-75).
 Palazzo senatorio Bovio, to which the houses of the Vezza and Piatesi families are joined. In 1418, this building then belonged to either the Pepoli, or the Aldrovandi, or the Alienisi. The Bovi, perhaps originally from Castenaso, in 1561 were rich merchants. Their family was divided into two branches, that of via Toschi, and that of Strada Santo Stefano. In 1621 they had the senatorate. In ancient times the houses belonged to the Beccadelli, and then passed to the Bovi. Inside the courtyard there are Roman tombstones that commemorate the Bovia people. On the main floor of this building whose façade overlooks the Santo Stefano complex, there are two rooms decorated in fresco with squares by D. Zanotti and S. Barozzi and figures by U. Gandolfi (1774-75).
