★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In fondo al Corridoio delle Stimmate vi è l'ingresso alla splendida Cappella delle Stimmate, sorta nel punto esatto dove San Francesco ricevette nel 1224 le Stimmate ovvero le piaghe i Cristo. È questo il cuore del Santuario e comunque il luogo di massima sacralità dello stesso, dove più si respira un'atmosfera di intensa, vivida spiritualità. La pala d'altare della Cappella, che fu fatta erigere nel 1260 dai Conti Guidi di Poppi per rendere omaggio alla figura del santo, è costituita da una magnifica terracotta invetriata del 1481 di Andrea della Robbia, rappresentante la Crocifissione.
 At the end of the Corridor of the Stigmata there is the entrance to the splendid Chapel of the Stigmata, built in the exact point where St. Francis received the Stigmata or the wounds of Christ in 1224. This is the heart of the Sanctuary and in any case the place of maximum sacredness of the same, where you can breathe an atmosphere of intense, vivid spirituality. The altarpiece of the Chapel, which was built in 1260 by the Counts Guidi di Poppi to pay homage to the saint, is made up of a magnificent glazed terracotta from 1481 by Andrea della Robbia, representing the Crucifixion.
