Gallipoli è una bellissima cittadina sul mare, in questo punto è veramente suggestiva l'atmosfera. Very suggestive and beautiful place. Small church by the sea. Great view. Nella metà del XVIII secolo la Cappella dedicata alla Vergine è stata oggetto di un accurato restauro. Il periodo ideale per visitarla è la prima settimana di settembre, durante la quale si celebra la solenne festa in onore della Madonna dell'Altomare, con scintillanti luminarie e fuochi artificiali sul mare. A wonderful place full of spirituality, from which to enjoy a unique view of the city of Otranto. In the mid-eighteenth century the chapel dedicated to the Virgin was the subject of a careful restoration. The ideal period to visit it is the first week of September, during which the solemn feast in honor of the Madonna dell'Altomare is celebrated, with sparkling lights and fireworks over the sea.

c	centro di educazione permanente on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesetta molto carina e suggestiva... soprattutto per i marinai a cui è dedicata, location eccezionale con vista sulla baia di Otranto quindi sul centro storico e lungomare; in giornate limpide si vede perfettamente la costa albanese dall'altra parte dell'Adriatico. Ci torniamo ogni estate almeno due volte. Very pretty and suggestive church ... especially for the sailors to whom it is dedicated, exceptional location overlooking the bay of Otranto and therefore the historic center and the seafront; on clear days you can see perfectly the Albanian coast on the other side of the Adriatic. We go back every summer at least twice.
