Having stayed a full week and made an interim review, the response after 2 weeks was generic and bland. They ignore their customers views. The resort has some great assets as before mentioned. The negatives outweigh the positives. Poor service. 5star prices for poor wines and spirits- who charges 19 euro for water in your room? The food in general was good but small portions. Hot and cold running waiters, but little effective service. Looking for oil and salt or even a spoon for soup was difficult. Especially with Covid restraints getting service was embarrassing. I wish them well but Thalasso is off the list.

We are return guests since years. It is the first time we book through our Accor page. In the past we realized all our stays were not credited on our Accor Loyality card. We are staying 17 nights on B&B basis - and here is our complete feedback: PLUS: a great breakfast service despite the COVID-19 restrictions. Francesca is an excellent leader and an eye for details. Renato´s bakery is always surprising with every morning a new speciality. great team and excellent service. Even the eggs à la coque were perfect. Beach and pool area and experience: No wonder this place is unique. The two pool and beach attends do not take a break where ever you see them they are busy cleaning, helping, fishing jellyfish or simply organizing boat rentals. working bees. Housekeeping: more than excellent. Rooms are very tide, attention to each detail. Rooms: in general they are spacious, but require some update and refreshment. Yes, maintenance is excellent as the sea and salt water environment deteriorate the material quickly. Landscape: very well maintained and still like the first time we came 8 years ago Areas of improvement: the reception is not as we are used too during our last stays in particular during the COVID-19 time. They need to be more communicative about any restrictions. very young beautiful ladies but helpless with no clue about anything. The only efficient one was a gentlemen who really helped us out.

Excellent hotel The place is a small paradize. 2 bad points : -no buffet the evening (corona?). -servors got lost and mistake on our meal during nearly every diners (organization?). A buffet would have solved this problem. In spite of that, it would be honest to give the best notation because: -kindness of the servors. -we can feel that the service do the maximum for people. -the private beach is just amazing. -all workers use to smile and look helpfull. -the swimming pool is also nice, clean and near the beach. Yes this is a paradize... I plan to come back next year with the family

We had a nice holiday here in the Hotel. The room was very nice and clean, the beach is amazing and the staff very friendly. You should have a car, because it's almost in the middle of no where - but this is great and very quiet, perfect for a relaxed vacation! The Service is good, we had half board - Diner is awesome and delicious. The breakfast is the only negative point. Corona times are hard, but you get a great menu and the food is also good and delicious. But the Service is an issue! Most of the staff don't speak English at all. We need to wait for the manager. They have some organization problems and a lot of orders don't come to our table. It seems it getting better, but the Management should have an eye on this issue! Staff is helpful and friendly. My fiancée had birthday during our stay. I ordered a cake and flowers and the staff did an amazing job! Thank you again! Overall we had a great week and a relaxing vacation! We can recommend a stay here and enjoy the sundowner - it's absoluty beatiful!

The place is very nice and clean, and the staff is very helpful.. breakfast is good and parking is spacious.. As for the beach it was very nice and sandy.. just if u want to swim u might need sea shoes as it's a bit rocky.. but the pool filled with sea water was more than enough for me..

In terms of value, I would say this didn't really love up to what it costs. It was absolutely beautiful; perfect beach, good amenities, clean pool and affordable options for water activities ie paddleboarding, free towel service, etc. But—when you're in the south of Italy, near Tropea, the land of delicious, sweet red onions, and Pizzo, known for their delicious truffle dessert—it's very disappointing that the food at the resort doesn't reflect this. Because it was offseason (end of September) only one restaurant was open for dinner and that restaurant happened to be the fine dining ristorante Mantineo. The food was prepared in advance, you could tell, and overall was anticlimactic. Portions were insanely small—I understand this is a fine dining restaurant but when the food is not rich in flavor and small, it leaves you hungry. The beach bar Stromboli was open during the day for lunch, it was simply fine. It's not difficult to have basic items on the menu ie cozze vongole, aglia e olio, simple ragu. Not sure why the menu was overcomplicated and bad. We left the resort on the first night and went to Ristorante Manitta up through the mountains (scary roads!) and that restaurant was absolutely amazing. With 2 mains, many appetizers, dessert and coffees, 1 litre of wine, our phenomenal meal was only €50 for two ppl. Definitely recommend checking that out. Or just explore tropea nearby and eat a good pizza. The second night we stayed in on the resort and had a horrible food experience at Thalasso—we even told the waiter to cancel the rest of our meal, we were paying ~€22 a dish and after 4 dishes our stomachs still felt empty. At the restaurant, which had an extensive wine list, we were told there was nothing left except one €150 bottle. Sorry, but no. Not sure if we'll be visiting again, maybe now that we know we absolutely can't rely on the hotel for food, we can set our expectations. What does it take to get a few good chefs in the resort though? Why is food so important? It's what we do. Follow us on @girlswithnofrills

Was there late Aug to early Sept. Nice resort, crystal blue waters when sea is calm. Great breakfast and good lunch and dinner choices, but many great restaurants nearby if you have a car. Not much in the way of included activities so a great vacation just to chill and relax

There are several moments and images that are still vivid in my memory, regarding my stay at the Capovaticano resort where I stayed from the 13th of September till the 19th. The whole place is a treat for the senses. The guest is pampered from the beginning to the end of the stay. The staff is always present with discretion, never invasive, to make you fully enjoy independently the immersive experience offered by the ample and beautiful spaces and the gorgeous nature around. The sea is the mighty star where you spend most of the day, enchanted by the crystal clear water, the little silver and black fishes that accompany your swim. When you leisurely wake up from the whole day at the beach ( towels provided for free)soaking the sun,and the air gets fresher, sunset arrives, splashing the sky with accurate beauty, brushing the horizon with hues of red, pink, orange, when the shape of Volcano Stromboli might appear on sight on clear days, still always there, present even on misty days. At sunset the Strombolicchio bar offers nice aperitifs( open also for good lunches ) on the terrace overlooking the sea and the volcano Stromboli. Beautiful and good quality garden furniture is scattered everywhere to make you comfortably enjoy a sit every minute of the day and the evening. I choose the half board, so started the morning with a super breakfast, offering cakes, croissants,, cereals, yogurts, all different alternatives to cow milk, fruit, freshly baked bread prepared with more then one type of flour. There is also a wide choice of the savouries if you don’t have a sweet tooth. All you like is there and you are spoilt for choice. Included the view that, from the restaurant makes you eye glide smoothly across a strategic passage way straight to the sea. Careful waiters, discreetly please your demands. At dinner there is an offering of succulent gourmet dishes, presented with the signature of a good chef. After breakfast I used to have a leisure walk around the park, then at ten o’clock I went for a yoga class, which takes place open air on the lawn facing the sea; with some shade and a light breeze I had the right complements for the one hour class. Everything was perfect and could not ask for a better location and a better teacher . MariaGrazia has been a beacon of light in each of the five morning classes I took. Present with all the senses, got me into the spirit of yoga with her smooth clear soothing voice, with her moves accompanying mine. She is a knowledgeable beautiful person, sweet and strong like the sea breeze. Even if you have never practiced yoga, she makes you do it all with ease and fun. The breathing and meditation moments are magic. This was my first time at Capovaticano resort and surely won’t be the last. Thanks to everybody for the excellent job. Last but not least I wanted to highlight the extended wifi , and the free car park.
