β β β β β That was an unexpected archeological site in the heart of Brescia city centre: an ancient Roman temple. Those Romans...! Easy to view and admire when passing by it but it worths it a full visit including the inner and underground environments where to discover almost intact suggestive frescoed walls.

β β β β β Extremely interesting and the multi media displays are worth a watch. Although you can see much of the site from outside, it is worth paying the entrance fee.

β β β β β Was closed the day we visited on Monday. Big pity. But still in awe of this. An UNESCO world heritage site. The Capitolium of Brixia or the Temple of the Capitoline Triad in Brescia was the main temple in the center of the Roman town of Brixia (Brescia). It is represented at present by fragmentary ruins, but is part of an archeological site, including a Roman amphitheatre and museum in central Brescia.
