★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Splendide vestigia romane, risalenti probabilmente al I secolo AC, che secondo la tradizione identificano l'antico capitolium, dedicato alla triade capitolina, Giove, Giunone e Minerva, sebbene secondo alcuni studiosi il vero capitolium sorgesse nel luogo in cui attualmente si trova l'attuale basilica di San Cesareo. Molto suggestivo e abbastanza ben conservato, meriterebbe una migliore valorizzazione.
Splendid Roman vestiges, probably dating back to the first century BC, which according to tradition identify the ancient capitolium, dedicated to the Capitoline triad, Jupiter, Juno and Minerva, although according to some scholars the true capitolium arose in the place where the present is currently located basilica of San Cesareo. Very suggestive and fairly well preserved, it deserves a better enhancement.

Tale edificio è stato identificato con il tempio dedicato alla triade capitolina (Giove, Giunone, Minerva). Originariamente era decorato sulla parte frontale da quattro colonne dorico-tuscaniche ed era dotato di tre celle in reticolato di tufo e calcare (ormai parzialmente rimaste), sotto le quali si custodiscono gli ambienti (favissae) in cui erano conservate le offerte votive. Davvero molto bello, meriterebbe molto più visibilità e preservazione. È possibile visitarlo h24.

This building has been identified with the temple dedicated to the Capitoline triad (Giove, Giunone, Minerva). Originally it was decorated on the front by four Doric-Tuscan columns and was equipped with three cells made of tufa and limestone (now partially left), under which the rooms (favissae) are kept, where the votive offerings were kept.
