Mr. Pietro's passion is tangible in every corner of the cellar and through his every word, story, anecdote. All its wines are really good, there is plenty of choice! Pietro offers a wealth of information about the cascina and area while exploring this historic winery and tasting his exceptional wines, great ambassadors for the Monferrato. S	Stephen Blandford on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited Cantine Valpane on short notice and were warmly greeted by owner/winemaker Pietro Arditi (and Balu'). The pride and pleasure with which Pietro introduced us to his estate and his wines was immediately evident. His stories about the history of the farm, and particularly his aunt Lydia, gave us a great sense of the place, giving context to the wines The simple and elegant labels also add to the story. The wines themselves are very good, made with sensitivity and minimal intervention, and it was a privilege to taste older vintages (the 2010 and 2007 Barbera wines available to taste have both vitality and complexity). A thoroughly enjoyable visit to a genuine, family owned cellar, full of bucolic charm. Highly recommended.
