β β β β β Giovanni showed us the winery and the wines Polvanera makes. He is a really nice guy. It is a truly remarkable place to visit with incredible wines. It is authentic, family owned winery that produces unique wines.

β β β β β This winery in Gioia del Colle is off the beaten path but is totally worth the extra effort of getting to. I was given a fantastic wine sampling and education of the grapes in the region which produce the fabulous wines of Polvanera. The facility and production methods were also thoroughly explained. I spent about 2 hours with our wine expert Donato who was friendly and made my friends and me feel welcome. Please call ahead before heading to the winery if you want to taste the fine wines. I will definitely return!

β β β β β Good wine tourism stop! They know how to handle wine tourism, their guides are very professional. Must make a booking, and they are happy to cater lunch or dinner. Food is good, a lot of wine. Not inexpensive, but value for money is there. Capable of handling groups and parties

β β β β β Stopped by, they couldn't accomodate us for sitting down, but one of the guys there did a tasting with us. We tasted 3 wines (each excellent!), and of course bought a few bottles. The guy was very nice and proud of the winery- rightly so. Highly recommend!

β β β β β Great experience there. I emailed the day before saying I didnβt want to do a formal tasting but I was interested in buying some wine. They said show up during their open hours and they would help. I showed up today and told them what I was Interested in trying and they let me try them all. Afterwards I bought the ones I wanted and it was super easy.
Sadly they donβt ship to USA. They have a distributor but they are wholesale so they send to stores not to people directly.
I would return here.

β β β β β CANTINE POLVANERA, what a place! This beautiful wine cellar is excavated into 8 meters of limestone rock, surrounded by a singular countryside, with typical dry stone walls, downy oaks and vineyards. Served delicious wine in the beaming sun, their 100% Primitivos are ?. Ruby red, mineral rich and excellent.
The wine tasting was wonderful and the service was the best. We got to taste some sparkling, white, orange and then some delicious red ones. We took a train from Bari and was picked up by the team from the winery. If in Bari, this place is perfect to visit and very close.
