Nice camping place at Lago d'Orta - we booked front row and it's beautiful. You can hear some trains at night. Sometimes on the weekends, there might be a party going on at a nearby hotel (can be noisy) and you will definitely hear the bikers riding through. We order our wholegrain bread for breakfast at the camping mini-market on the day before. It's really tasty. ?

Great camping. Higher pitches have views over the stunning lake. Loads of clean WC/ wash blocks. Can’t book for less than 7 days so arrive early and keep fingers crossed for a pitch.

Turned up on spec and got a pitch no problem.Beautiful setting, excellent pitches at lakeside, electric hook up, very clean showers and toilets, friendly staff and reasonably priced. Mini market, bar and restaurant. Didn’t eat there so can’t rate food. Would definitely return loved it.

Went here with my best friend and her parents!! Was amazing!! When someone left on the front they moved us there so we had a better view and private access to the lake! Beautiful weather and no pesky bugs that got in the way. Definitely recommended! Planning to visit again!

Gorgeous setting (we had a lakeside pitch) friendly and helpful staff and a very good on-site shop/deli. Access tight for large outfits especially when busy. Orta San Giulio is about a 15 min walk away. Nice : quite small, touristy as you'd expect but not brash. Loads of eating choices ranging from pizzeria to Michelin Star. Several good markets nearby and villages on the surrounding hillsides with glorious views of the lake.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4x days at Lake D'Orta, it's very scenic and we had a pitch down by the lake side. The staff are very nice and there is a small food market and restaurant on the other side of the camp which is reached by an underpass. The facilities at the top camp are much nicer than the lower lakeside ones which smelt. Unfortunately we were plagued by mosquito except when swimming.

The landscape and the lake are beautiful. Thats it. Very loud, from the street and railway as well as from kids who play very loudly and late till 0:30 every night. Even other guests are very loud, behave recklessly. No one cares. Very noisy till very late. Dogs swim among tourists and motorboats almost touched my head while swimming. Boats cruise between swimmers and pollute the air with diesel oil. When I complaint about it in the office I was rejected and the clerk laughed at me. I never go there again and would not recommend that camping site.

Not sure we have ever seen a campsite where the facilities were so clean. The location is great. The tunnel passage walkway under the road to get to the lake, super practical and the waterfront (even for campers with a pitch on the other side of the road) wonderful with amazing views. You can walk to the peninsula and Orta San Giulio from the camping, where the holy mountain is a must visit if you can. Back to the campsite, the staff is super helpful and friendly. The only 'dissapointment' was the slow WiFi.
