Camping Cusio

Excellent location for young and old in a scenery environment. Families with young children will have a wonderful stay as many of things they can do are in walking distance or on the camping site available. People who like hiking, climbing, cycling or mountain biking will have plenty of routes to choose from. This camping site is an ideal base to explorer the surrounding villages or even go to Milano or Turino. Many tours can be provided by local guides.

Lovely family run site. Well established in a quiet area with short walk to town/lake. All facilities for motorhomes except 'drive over fray waste' as the site was originally designed for tents. Don't be put off though, its a great site.

Great family friendly campsite. Laid back atmosphere and not too cramped like some other sites in the vicinity. Spacious and shady places. Good mix of permanent year round places and seasonal places for caravans and tents. Decent pool and bar restaurant run by the owners. No childrens animation, no toiletpaper provided and warm showers paid for with tokens. But if that bothers you, you shouldn't be coming here in the first place. Bring loads of mosquito repellent in summer.

We had problems with our camper van the day before we arrived at camping Cusio, in beautiful Lake Orta, but when we turned up the owner was immediately very friendly and made us feel at home and sorted out our car for us to we could enjoy our stay there. For us it was like arriving in paradise! The whole campsite is beautiful and the spaces are very large and pleasant. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The location is perfect for visiting all of the surrounding area and the swimming pool is great to cool off on a hot day. The little cafe on the site is great too! We will definitely be visiting again - thank you!

Nice green camping with a more than comfortable swimming pool, on a walking distance of the lake and Orta San Giulio. Ask for a place on the mountain side. The noise of the road can be irritating.

This campsite is far from your average camping place. It's family-run, with a personal approach. The layout offers more privacy, compared to most of other campsites we visited. Facilities include a decent playground for the kids and yes, the _bar_. Definitely pay a visit!

Camping Cusio is situated on the Eastern shore of Lake Orta among the forested, peaceful grounds of the family Angeleri. Over the last 40years, they have been diligent in maintaining an intimate, friendly, mindful atmosphere enabling our guests to reconnect with nature along with enjoying restful, fun time with family and friends. They offer a wide variety of options from traditional tent camping to RV camping, and bungalow camping and we are conveniently located to the magnificent Lake Orta where guests will find many places for swimming and picnicking. Our guests can also enjoy the plush green forests and mountains for hiking and exploring. Their bungalows and caravans are highly sought after and we suggest that you book several months in advance especially during the high seasons of July and August. Our bungalows include a living room, equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a bedroom with 2 bunk beds with sheets and blankets. A bathroom with shower. We ask that you bring your own towels. The caravans are equipped with a kitchen, a bedroom with double bed and one room with double bed or bunk bed. We ask that you to bring sheets, blankets and towels. The bathrooms are shared with the Central baths of the campsite. They are constantly mindful of the precious resources, most of all water. They monitor our pool daily using an ultraviolet (UV) pool sanitation system which destroys over 99.5% of pool pathogens. No water is wasted, they collect and store rainwater to be used for our toilets. They use solar panels to produce hot water for showers and photovoltaic panels for producing electricity. They also kindly ask their clients to respect nature by separating litter and to use water/electricity in an environment-conscious way. Special Events abound at Camping Cusio, each year a jazz/blues music concert is organized along with other fun activities designed to include everyone who wishes to join in. The rich landscapes and near-by destinations such as Stresa, the mountain of Mottarone and the Sacro Monte of Lake Orta are perfect for hiking and exploring. Good camping, very nice people, and in a nice location. The camping is also welcoming to solo cyclists/hikers with a tent, which is rare in Italy. Was there on: 13.04.2022. Price for 1 person with tent and by bicycle: 10 €. Tent meadow: No, fully parcellated. Showers: Included. (though not sure that is always the case; I just got some coins when checking in) Sinks for hand washing clothes: Yes. (but no plug) Wifi: Yes, at restaurant. Other facilites: There is a covered space with chairs and tables, but not sure if it is allowd to use.
