It was a great and amazing hostel. I would recommend this place, San Lazzaro(Agerola) to anyone, because it is less touristy, has local food and culture and cheap prices compared to the amalfi. Local people walk and talk in the streets till 2 in the night. The shops are also open till midnight. As for the host, Paolo and his wife Anne Maria, they are very kind and has a huge heart and always helpful. I would come to this place again and again. The prices are almost 3 times cheaper than all the places in Amalfi coastline. Another good thing about this place is , since it is almost 700 mts above sea level, you get an amazing view during a full moon night of the sea, also during the daytime you get views of Amalfi and Ravello, from a place called castello lauritana which is like 10-15 mins walk from the place.

Hi, I have to apologize for the previous review here. My friend, who wrote it was having a very bad day and wasn't feeling well, which was essentially my fault and has nothing to do with the campsite. The campsite is actually really nice and perfectly located if you want to hike around the beautiful Amalfi Coast, a bit seperate from the touristic buzz. It is NOT expensive! It's actually one of the cheapest places we've come across throughout italy (sicily included). The showers might be pricy for 1€, especially when they are not working right, but my friend didn't go to the actually very helpful owner, so complaining about it here is unfair and again, I apologize. I hope the previous review didn't keep anyone from visiting this beautiful place, we mean no harm to the people there.

We loved it! Paolo, the owner, is beyond helpful (speaks English, and a bit French) and makes you feel so welcome. This beautiful camping is strategically located between Amalfi & Positano, and it’s also quiet(you can only hear birds singing), fresh, within nature, and with all the services you need (drinkable water everywhere, electricity, grey/black water waste disposals, shade, wifi, etc). We have a 6mt long Fiat Ducato and fit very easily - we drove in from Napoli over the mountain and the road is perfect, easy to drive. Paolo has plenty parking spots for campers. We hiked from here to Amalfi one day and came back on the bus. And the next day we hiked from here to Positano (via Sentiero degli Dei) and you can come back by boat - Paolo will give you all the info + maps you need! He also sells the bus tickets and gives you the timetables, options etc. Around the camping, you also have all the shops you need, very cute village. Price is totally fair for everything you get, absolutely worth going there! Fun Fact - this camping was one of the first to open in Italy in the 50’s, passed on over 3 generations ?

Mildly expensive campingsite for the really bad service. The showers are cold as ice (for some reason colder than the water outlets) and if you buy a token it will run out as soon as the water gets warm. On top of this the token costs 1€, double as much as every other camping site. You might expect that at least the hairdryer works but it only does for about one minute. In addition to this the toilets have no seats, just the bare bowl. I thought about writing a better review because it is basically a nice place but the owner was straight up rude to my gilfreiend who didn't even know about the review (she came back trmbling after talking to him for check out). I really cannot recommend this. If you want to visit the amalfi coast take literally any other camping site.

Nice small campsite within the village, walk everywhere. Friendly welcome, open all year round. Basic facilities but all good, Wi-Fi works really well. Thank you!

We loved it! It is a peaceful and very friendly place away from the busy coast. We had a mobile home, which was very clean, quiet and had a nice garden around. The price was also fair. Nice restaurants and bars around, very friendly owners…. Nothing more to say, 100% recommended.
