The kitchen facilities were incredibly basic but the local shop provided everything we needed and the owners were very helpful.
Very good for the price; but don’t expect luxury as you won’t get it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice an quiet, that's what I like! Only 400 meters from the beach. To bad they don't clean the toilets more often, they stink. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. But: hot showers are free!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is an absolute dump. We came to the Catania area with the intention of staying at this campsite for three nights but packed up our things to leave the morning after checking in. The bathrooms are disgusting. There are three stalls for each gender's bathrooms and both only include one normal toilet while the two other stalls are just ceramic holes in the ground. Not only that, but they're VERY dirty. No toilet paper in the bathroom stalls, no soap in any of the dispensers above the sinks. Showers are free which are a plus, but those too leave much to be desired. There was a dead bird in the grass right next to the showers, who knows how long that's been there. The owner was very kind when we were atranging our stay, but I just cannot recommend this place to anybody camping with a tent.
EDIT: I feel that it's fair to update this to say that it does in fact seem to be normal for there not to be toilet paper or soap in bathrooms at Sicilian campsites so I have to take that back from my original review. However, that doesn't change my rating because they're still extremely dirty compared to every other campsite we've stayed at on the island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very quiet campsite when I was there in the middle of June. Lots of shade because of the numerous trees. Fairly basic but adequate facilities that could be cleaned a bit better. There is a decent family-run restaurant and bar on site. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. In the morning he jumped on his scooter and rode to the village just to get me a croissant for breakfast! In the evening I was the only guest in the restaurant and when he had to leave I asked if I could stay to watch the football - he showed me how to lock up the place and left me by myself, with all the drinks and whatnot that I could have taken. Old fashioned trust, that's what I like!
