Mi auguro che il Comune di Alcamo prima o poi intervenga radicalmente per arrestare la forte decadenza di questo particolare luogo. Il sito non è accessibile, pertanto è possibile apprezzarlo solo dall'esterno. Great place for an excursion out of town. Place full of history left to itself. E appena si entra all interno ti rendi subito dell impianto difensivo a tre livelli di muri....che per secoli ha resistito a vari assedi.....ma alla fine l ingnoranza e il non rispetto della nostra storia ha sconfitto. Al momento sono dei ruderi, ma il progetto di restauro è imminente, abbiamo visto nel tempo già qualche cambiamento e se verrà restaurato completamente diventerà una attrazione fantastica. Noi abbiamo provato tre volte a raggiungerlo, attraverso le due strade che ci sono, ma la strada è davvero dissestata in più se piove è molto pericoloso. Dunque ad un certo punto abbiamo lasciato la macchina e abbiamo proseguito per un chilometro a piedi. Arrivati, abbiamo visto che il castello è circondato da reti proprio per vietarne l’ingresso poichè in sistemazione. Per cui non si può visitare all’interno. Aspetteremo con ansia la sistemazione ??? O	Otiv on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non credo esiste nessuno che abiti a cavallo tra le provincie di Trapani e Palermo che non abbia mai visto questo Castello (quel che ne rimane) dall'autostrada. Ammirevole lo spirito delle varie associazioni che sostengono il suo restauro e spingono per un utilizzo più consono. Affascinante per posizione e storia I don't think there is anyone who lives between the provinces of Trapani and Palermo who has never seen this Castle (what remains of it) from the highway. The ruins of the castle are highlighted during the nighttime and it makes it even more visible from the road. Not sure if this place worth visiting unless you are a big fun of exploring ruins, because you'll have to plan your trip in advance - the castle is located very close to the motorway, but there's no side road near leading directly.
