Fab Saturday morning/ lunch marred by very poor service at Caffe Elena. Clearly not impressed with anyone not Italian . Didn’t even get ‘nibbly bits’ with the wine even though everyone else did! Unfortunately it wasn’t just one of the staff that was miserable , one is forgivable. Still the location is great and the sun is shining….

In a city of great cafés, Caffè Elena stands out as the coziest and most beautiful. Ideal for dates and intellectual converstations.

Beautiful historic caffè in Piazza Vittorio (one of Europe's biggest!). Located right at the entrance to the historic city centre of Turin, Caffè Elena is one of the most historic caffès in town with a beautiful view on the piazza as well on the green hills above Turin. Great place to enjoy good food (try the "Chiacchiere" !) and drinks or some" Aperitivi" all through the year.

Great location in the big Piazza on Via Po near the Po River.... waited 20minutes for service which is pretty poor and when the coffee and wine finally arrived, I was made to feel they were doing me a favour!! There weren't even any nibbly bits normally served with aperitifs although all the other tables had them. There are better places in great positions with a happier more welcoming vibe, where I can spend my money for sure!!!

During our permanence in Turin we visited several times this place. The wine selection is formidable and the staff is always on point advising you on the best choice to go with appetizers. We had a wonderful Vermentino and a glass of Erbaluce, both of them white wines, and on a second visit we had Nebbiolo, that is a really good red wine. We always accompanied the wines with a selection of their tapas, with local cheeses and mixed meats. They also have honey and confections on the side, and let's talk about their bread rolls. AWESOME. I really advise this place! The location is small, warm, and very welcoming. The staff is a positive note on your visit. We surely will visit them again when in Turin.

The staff are brilliant and speak English well. The food is excellent, especially the tapas. I can't recommend Caffe Elena enough. We have been there for food or for drinks every day of our stay.

2nd try at putting a mediocre rating for this superbly located cafe Looks like I need to come with Jackie next time Service was atrocious and to start with I thought it was because I am English but pleased to see it wasn’t just me having to constantly trying to get someone’s attention. I didn’t even get ‘nibbly bits’ with my vino… how shocking ?
