M	Mark on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outrageous view. Perfect spot for a coffee or beer in the afternoon. A bit expensive but obviously for a view like this. Didn't get charged a coperto for sitting, I guess service is included in the slightly inflated prices.
M	Margherita on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yet another example of Florence selling its soul to tourism! This morning I went to the cafe. The breakfast was not remarkable but the building is imbued with my family history and the view I grew up with made up for the discomfort. I later decided to show my husband the place for a friends and family gathering we've been planning. We were asked to either purchase something or not take a look at the view. Let me remind you, dear Verone owners: you're kindly hosted in a building that is more than 600 years old. It is a privilege for you to be allowed there and NOT the other way around. You do NOT own the view. I would have understood if the place was packed and we were a large group but the place was practically empty! When I told the waiter I had been planning on bringing a group there, she still insisted I couldn't take a look at the view as it'd be offensive to the people (all 3 of them) who had actually bought something. As a Florentine I have to say this is obscene and yet another example of Florence shamelessly selling its soul!

While we were there with a bigger group for dinner, I think that going there for a coffee or aperitivo is the better choice. The food was good but rather average. The personnel was kind and forthcoming.

It offers a great opportunity for taking unusual perspectives of Florence. If only the prices were more affordable!

What a fabulous view and you almost can't believe that you're still in the heart of Firenze - it's so quiet and serene looking over the terracotta rooftops towards the Duomo and the mountains beyond. It didn't seem to be very well marked and we only knew about it as we were specifically looking for rooftop spots for drinks and this came up - above the Ospedale degli Innocenti. I'm not sure too many people know about it either as we pretty much had it to ourselves other than a few very quiet tables. The staff was friendly, the breeze felt great on a hot June day, and the drinks were refreshing. A bit overpriced for the size, but again, you get what you pay for with the views! I had the Shakerato and it was tasty with a good jolt of energy for the rest of our day. Definitely worth another visit and a longer stay!
