★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here to get dinner and lunch for the next day (on the via Francigena) and got the Russian salad, beef schnitzel thing and meat balls and it was awesome. Seriously, if you want some delicious and fresh food hit this place up. SO GOOD.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Macelleria Sergio Falaschi is a wonderful butcher shop in San Minato. They are long time Slow Food supporters. They have great meat and homemade sausage for sale, and a restaurant in the back of the store serving delicious food. It's very traditional in the sense that they offer only a few dishes that change with the season and day. There is a view over the hills from the covered terrace (if you want to sit on the terrace be sure to call in advance). Your lunch will be a real experience, do what we did, try everything! You won't be disappointed.

This butcher shop is home to an exemplary local butcher that does things right. I have never had such wonderful cured meats and cheeses. The dining area is rather small so you may have to wait a little bit but the town has much to offer in sites and small shops. Do not miss out if you can't dine in buy some meat and cheese to take with you..
