Wij vonden wel heel slecht te vinden waar je precies moet zijn, de locatie was namelijk afgesloten met een hek met een kleine doorgang voor mensen die te voet zijn. Je moet bij de klimbomen-speeltoestellen zijn. Pittige klim naar boven maar zeker de moeite waard. Lovely place to visit if you are in the area. We found it very difficult to find exactly where you should be, because the location was closed with a gate with a small passage for people on foot. You have to be at the climbing trees playground equipment. Tough climb to the top but well worth it.
A	Alexander Bartholomäus on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schönes rustikales Wanderziel. Auch mit Kindern (wenn sie etwas laufen ca 30min zügig) erreichbar, wenn man vom kleinen Parkplatz startet. Die Ruine selbst ist rustikal aber man kann sich einige Räume gut denken. Einige Stellen könnten besser gesichert sein, aber sie hat ihren Charme! Nice rustic hiking destination. Also accessible with children (if they walk about 30 minutes quickly), if you start from the small parking lot. The ruin itself is rustic, but you can easily imagine some of the rooms. Some places could be better secured, but it has its charm!

Impressive ruins and witness of the Tyrolean government history in the High Middle Ages; accessible only by narrow footpaths and therefore not as crowded.

I resti del piccolo castello sono in rovina, ma è il suo fascino. A	Alina Loo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Einfacher Aufstieg in ca. 20min. Angefangen oberhalb vom Dorf Terlan über eine Hauptstraße (dort gibt es auch Parkmöglichkeiten) mit Beschilderung zur Burgruine. Bei Regen und im Herbst etwas rutschig. Wunderschöner Blick auf Meran und das Tal zwischen Meran und Bozen. Die Burgruine sieht märchenhaft aus. Es gibt Geländer zum Festhalten. Flutlichtbeleuchtung am Abend. Easy ascent in about 20min. Starting above the village of Terlan on a main road (there are also parking facilities) with signs to the castle ruins. Slippery in the rain and in the fall. Beautiful view of Merano and the valley between Merano and Bolzano. The castle ruins look fairytale. There are railings to hold on. Floodlighting in the evening.
T	TheSmarty22 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eine nette kleine Burgruine. Nur leider ist sie schon etwas verwildert und durch Menschen aus der aktuellen Zeit zerstört worden. Der Aufstieg aus Terlan ist eher unscheinbar und sehr versteckt (man muss durch den alten Hochseilgarten). Nach einem 20 minütigen Aufstieg hat man allerdings das Ziel erreicht und kann den Blick ins Tal genießen. Die Burgruine ist der Auftakt einer 6-7 stündigen Burgenwanderung nach Bozen. A nice little castle ruin. Unfortunately, it is already a bit overgrown and destroyed by people from the current era. The ascent from Terlan is rather inconspicuous and very hidden (you have to go through the old high ropes course). After a 20 minute ascent, however, you have reached your destination and can enjoy the view of the valley. The castle ruins are the beginning of a 6-7 hour hike to Bolzano.

Der Parkplatz für den Aufweg zur Burg ist etwa einen Kilometer oberhalb des Ortes. Dort ist auch eine kleine Stehle, die auf die Burg hinweist und ein paar Informationen bereit hält. An dem Weg selber sind nochmals Glastafeln aufgestellt, die weitere Informationen bereithalten. Der Wald beschattet auf nahezu voller Länge des Anstiegs zur Burg und ist daher auch für sehr sonnige Tage gut geeignet. The castle complex is nicely prepared. The climb over the Magarethenallee is very suitable for families. The parking lot for the way to the castle is about one kilometer above the village. There is also a small stele that points to the castle and has some information ready. On the path itself, there are again glass panels that provide further information. The forest provides shade for almost the full length of the ascent to the castle and is therefore also well suited for very sunny days.
S	Sonia Perrone on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo percorso ad anello..ci sono due salite con difficoltà diversa..io ho preferito quella più ripida con la pavimentazione di pietra. La flora locale è varia ed è lasciata libera di vegetare, senza eccessivi interventi antropici. Il panorama dall'alto è mozzafiato ed il castello è molto suggestivo anche se l'ho trovato un po' trasandato. Beautiful ring route .. there are two climbs with different difficulty .. I preferred the steeper one with the stone pavement. The local flora is varied and is left free to vegetate, without excessive anthropogenic interventions. The view from the top is breathtaking and the castle is very impressive even if I found it a bit shabby.
