β β β β β Very clean and trendy, this bustling all day restaurant serves amazing ice cream at the front of the shop and great meals for every appetite in the bright and clean seating area to the rear. Pizza, pasta, burgers, crepes sandwiches are all available. Good coffee as well. Not expensive.

β β β β β Our first day in Sorrento, we stopped here and once I said that I was vegan and wanted a vegan pasta dish, it only took 10 minutes to have the best penne pasta dish with fresh mushrooms, spinach and eggplant I could have ever imagined. Even my husband whoβs not vegan said it was one of the most flavorful pasta dishes heβs ever had! And weβve traveled throughout Italy many times. This is a three generation family here too! They took so much pride in the freshness and quality of their ingredients and the service was simply superb.
So good that we booked the vegan ice cream making course, which was awesome. We learned how to make sorbet and vegan ice cream! The sorbet started with fresh flavorful fruit and the ice cream with fresh toasted hazelnuts. There is absolutely no using sub quality ingredients here! Then my husband had to take the pizza making course! I guess you get the picture. Words canβt describe the quality and love these folks have for their food!!!

β β β β β This is the place to get ice cream ... sorry I mean gelato, and I learned the difference after coming here. They have such a diverse amount of options available when it comes to ice cream. I believe they also serve food like pizza and that they have classes where they teach you to make gelato. Iβm so basic because I ordered their chocolate gelato but it was really delicious. Good location too.

β β β β β We have now dined at the Bougainvillea twice and both times we have found the staff very friendly and efficient serving very nice food in perfect timing for us and we hope to eat there again before we leave Sorrento.
