★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una piacevole passeggiata nel bosco, a contatto con la natura, proprio nei luoghi dove ha vissuto San Francesco. La partenza è proprio a fianco della Basilica del santo, il costo è contenuto ma il percorso è ben segnalato e accessibile. Ci si può trovare refrigerio nelle giornate più calde e si può stare in raccoglimento se si ha la fortuna di non trovare molta gente. Consigliato verso il tramonto.
A pleasant walk in the woods, in contact with nature, right in the places where St. Francis lived. The departure is right next to the Basilica of the saint, the cost is low but the route is well signposted and accessible. You can find refreshment on the hottest days and you can be in meditation if you are lucky enough not to find many people. Recommended around sunset.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful trek to take if you have the time and energy! The full trail is miles of beautiful Assisi country side with occasional small convents. Even walking into the trail a few hundred meters is worth it. A donation of around €5 is expected for trail maintenance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The forest is beautiful and tranquil. It costs 6 euros to enter, and it's worth it. The trail is well maintained, and there are lots of nice spots to rest and appreciate nature. Great for picnics.
