★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Collegata direttamente alla Basilica Superiore, sia tramite scale interne (passando anche da un cortile molto bello, zona in cui è anche presente un negozio di souvenir molto fornito) che estere, da questa parte della basilica si raggiunge anche la cripta dove è collocata la Tomba di San Francesco.
C'è sempre molta gente a farvi visita, quindi per raggiungerla spesso si deve camminare in fila. Rispetto a quella di Santa Chiara l'abbiamo trovata molto più suggestiva, di forte impatto sia visivo che emotivo, per questo consiglio veramente di passarci.
Attenzione: nella chiesa non è permesso scattare foto, anche senza flash. In molte zone sono disponibili dei totem - con cuffie - grazie ai quali si possono avere molte informazioni più specifiche in merito agli affreschi, bellissimi, e alla storia di tutta la zona.
Directly connected to the Upper Basilica, both via internal stairs (also passing through a very nice courtyard, an area where there is also a well-stocked souvenir shop) and foreign ones, from this part of the basilica you can also reach the crypt where the Tomb is located. of San Francesco.
There are always a lot of people to visit you, so to reach it you often have to walk in line. Compared to that of Santa Chiara we found it much more evocative, with a strong visual and emotional impact, so I really recommend passing by.
Attention: it is not allowed to take pictures in the church, even without a flash. In many areas there are totems - with headphones - thanks to which you can have much more specific information about the frescoes, beautiful, and the history of the whole area.
