We recently went to Bologna and booked a food tour about the parmisan cheese, balsamic vinegar and ham production. The tour was very informative and fun at the same times, also well organised. We had a great time, tasted many different foods and throughly enjoyed the whole exerience. I think if you are visiting Bologna you should definitely try the tour!

Great tour. My wife and I did the tour for her birthday and it was perfect. We learned a lot about the Parmigiano reggiano production, the dedication and care of the people involved put to produce the best product. Also we learned how much time and care is needed to produced the balsamic vinegar, but the best of all is that is a family affair and it goes through generations. Which is kind of neat. The salami factory was interesting. But what I personally liked the most was the service provide by our tour guy. Giacomo. He did everything right. We had very good discussions. He speaks perfect English and he was really friendly. So if you ever think about doing something like this, Please take my word for and do it with them. You won't regret a min.

We booked "last second" (around 5PM the morning before we were looking to do the tour) and had no problems! Communication was quick, easy and fast and could have not been more seamless. Our driver / guide Paolo was extremely knowledgeable, a very safe driver and understood / spoke english very well! They picked us up at our AirBnB door on time in Modena, which I feel was the perfect location for the 3 stops we made. Travel times between each place was...20 minutes? A half hour? What we enjoyed most about this tour was being taken to smaller facilities vs being part of a large group and herd'ed around on a bus. We got a very close and intimate look into all processes and never felt rushed or uncertain about what we were looking at. The only part we did not care for was the Parma Ham tour at the museum. While we did learn a lot, we were not expecting to be brought to a museum at a mass-production factory. We would have more enjoyed being brought to a butcher who would explain the different types of meats and let us sample. At the parm and balsamic places we were clearly "expected" to purchase their product. In no way did anyone force us or make us feel uncomfortable- but come on...you're going to go all the way to Italy and take this tour and then NOT buy anything? We went into this fully prepared to buy cheese and balsamic! Overall, I highly recommend this tour. While we could have done without the ham museum, it was still interesting and we don't regret going!

Booked online and process was very easy to complete. Guide (Paulo) was waiting for us and very accommodating. He spoke excellent English and gave us a whole new appreciation for some of the wonderful food produced in the Modena region. Tour was small, personalized and very generous portions for tastings provided. Able to purchase foods at prices cheaper than elsewhere. Gave us a different perspective on authenticity - how will we ever be able to go back to grocery store balsamic vinegar?? Definitely would recommend.

Our tour to a Balsamic maker and Lambrusco maker was the best part of our trip through France and Italy. Paulo was an outstanding tour guide, bringing in-depth knowledge, a radiant personality and a genuine desire to ensure we had a great time. The Balsamic tour was fantastic - and we would have been happy to call it a day there - but the Lambrusco "tour" was the quintessential Italian tour/tasting experience. Paolo took us to a Lambrusco maker who ran his own farm and made much more than Lambrusco - olive oil, balsamic, raised livestock and grew fruits and vegetables. Coincidentally, he was also named Paolo. The Paolos gave us a very nice tour culminating with a wine tasting at a large table in the dining room of a farm house. We quickly realized this was going to be much more than a wine tasting and ended up enjoying home made cured meats, cheese, bread, fruit and vegetables for hours. I highly recommend this tour and specifically suggest going to the Lambrusco tasting at Paolos for an unforgettable experience dining and drinking in the Italian countryside.

Such a great, informational tour taking us to places it would have been impossible to find and organize on our own. Paolo was great, answering our questions about the food and clearly personally knowing all of the food producers. Highly recommend!

I have no words to express how amazing this your was! Our guide Gabriele was extremely nice and knowledgeable about all the food and products, he even gave us some amazing recommendations on what to try in our next leg of our Italy trip. Do not pass on this experience!

A very fun and interesting tour we chose to visit a Parmigiano Reggiano producer, Prosciutto producer and a Balsamic vinegar producer all three were small to medium in size giving us a good representation of the producers in the region. Our guide Paolo Matteucci was perfect he stayed with us the whole time not just turning us over to the owner/staff at each location. It was clear Paolo has a strong relationship with these folks adding to the experience. The four of us were amazed how good his english was which added to how much we all learned from him
