★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As described by many others - Michelangelo was born here but for me that was enough.
I am not an art student or historian and I do not know much about the works of Michelangelo - none of which were even visualised until many many years later.
That being said I did learn about some of his works and about the works of some of his fellow artists of his time.
The views from the museum are stunning, most of the pieces on display are (in my eyes) well worth a look and the young man who runs and curates the museum was a most gracious host.
The grounds themselves needed a bit of weeding, mowing and tidying up but since it is largely run by one person this can be forgiven.
All in all I really enjoyed my visit.
Whilst you are in Caprese Michelangelo I recommend you have lunch at Buca di Michelangelo (see my review).
