Birth Center Margherita

We had a meeting, decisive for the choice of where to give birth. We noticed availability, professionalism, and smiles (which should not be underestimated). There is no doubt that the Margherita center will be our little girl's first home.

PATETIC experience !. I did not choose to give birth there, I was just transferred from Careggi to there for one night to make room in Careggi. When I arrived the place was DARK, so I thought they opened the place for me. The rooms DO NOT HAVE NATURAL LIGHT OR WINDOWS, so I never understood the naturist philosophy they propose for childbirth. THE HEATING WAS NOT ON, they turned it on when I claimed the cold. If you want to take a shower, you have to leave the room to go to another small bathroom whose door DOES NOT CLOSE, so you are still getting cold. The shower had NO HOT WATER. At 2 am my baby started crying to eat, when I grabbed them from the crib, IT WAS SUPER COLD. With the promise that I would leave at 24 hours from there, I accepted the transfer. After the pediatric check-up, after 24 hours, the pediatrician suggested that I stay another 24 hours. Accept the proposal but with the condition of returning to Careggi. The sensation lived was that of being locked in a madhouse: without natural light, in the dark, without too much artificial light, with cold. When I claimed x all these things, they answered me: the windows are madam: outside the room in the common hall ... I thought they were kidding me. Worse still, they called the technician to turn on the heat, and the nurse came over after 5 minutes to measure the room temperature with a thermometer, standing ridiculously in the center of the room ... In short, the place is EMPTY, WITHOUT HEAT. I don't understand what the naturist proposal is, if you don't see a tree, you don't see the sun. The experience with doctors is the same that Careggi offers. Honestly, IT IS NOT WORTH THAT YOU GO THROUGH A SOOOOO HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE like the one I went through, just for graciously agreeing to leave a free bed in Careggi for only 12 or 18 hours, when later the proposal was extended to another 24 hours and, On top of that, having to tolerate that the local doctors were offended because I asked to stay another 24 hours more hospitalized but in Careggi. They really RUINED MY LABOR, THE POST LABOR. THEY RUINED ME THE MOST PRECIOUS MOMENT YOU CAN HAVE IN LIFE.

February 15th 2014 I gave birth to my first daughter at the Margherita we had our first wonderful experience the professional and very friendly staff ... yesterday 4.07.2021 and my second wonder was born and I have to be honest given the situation in which we find ourselves the staff and more and more good I feel in good hands thank you girls ❤ tomorrow I will go out with another wonderful experience ...

All the midwives with whom I have dealt have convinced me little, both in terms of professionalism and on an empathic level, except unfortunately that of the visit for acceptance to the Margherita path. Other than natural methods to alleviate the pain, during my labor if my husband did not call them, nobody was ever seen, and even when they arrived they always seemed very annoyed ... Childbirth ended in the traditional delivery room because the baby was seen but did not want to go out. They kept me past the recommended time to suffer without getting to anything, and then (at this point I would say fortunately) came the call of another woman who was coming there to give birth, and at that point they transferred me! Certainly I was unlucky in finding the wrong people since there are many positive experiences, but personally I can only advise against the birth center Margherita and dissuade myself from being convinced by meetings to which I myself participated before choosing it as a place to give birth to mine daughter, where we talk about everything that is done by midwives, the one-to-one relationship etc etc ... all talk and that's enough for what I experienced !!

Midwives and reception: excellent but I was disappointed by the fact that not trusting my latest ultrasound scans where the weight was indicated under what they "suspected" (that there despite "the norm of weight up to 4kg", the "big" belly does anyway fear) ... I was first told to echo Careggi again (so they had a "more valid" excuse for not taking my birth in charge. only correct weight, so that all echoes have at least 15-30% chance of error as a rule) to the estimated weight of my last ultrasound, done privately by a very competent doctor even in the parts, I don't want to talk about it anymore. It becomes even more difficult to decide on the place of birth ... And that in Italy the system always remains retrogradely fixed with amenorrhea data ... Or else ... When it comes to data that are always approximate ... Without trusting what the patient says it doesn't help much.

Today it has been two months since I gave birth to Margherita .. what to say about a beautiful experience I had alongside for all the labor and the birth of my baby very good midwives have never left me alone .. at the moment of birth, I was with them for 3 days and always in their company .. !! I felt at home and pampered !!! Very good I recommend it to all expectant mothers .. !!

Unique experience! I would recommend all the mothers who can give birth here! They are all very kind and helpful! Very clean place. A unique experience also for friends and relatives. A special thanks to Carmela and Aurelia and Elisa and Alessandra! Thanks for all the help and patience.

On 24/01/2016 Rebecca was born in room 5, after 5 years on 21/01/2021 in the usual room Samuele was born. Two fabulous parts with the help of professional, empathetic and kind Midwives. Special thanks also to the oss and the cleaning ladies. It's a really close-knit team and I felt at home. I recommend the Margherita path to all women who want to have a natural and reserved birth.
