Palace not for payment but you can enter by registering the documents and depositing the purse in the appropriate secure lockers since everyone has their own key. The beauty and the possibility of seeing some truly historical books are worth seeing. This library is also used by students or people who like to read so in certain rooms it takes respect and silence not to disturb

Today, the lady on duty present at the entrance to the library was not very courteous, shame about a magical place like the royal palace.

The National Library of Naples, in addition to being a perfect place to study, is one of the most fascinating and relaxing places in the whole city. Just show your ID at the entrance and you can enter easily to study or read in peace. Some tables are equipped with sockets that therefore allow you to recharge your PC or mobile phone. Also, spending a few moments in the entrance garden is truly magnificent. I recommend everyone a nice day of study in this magical place.

The National Library Naples is one of the richest libraries in the world suffice it to say that, in the papyrus section, it preserves the only ancient library that has arrived 'intact' to the present day - the library of Philodemus of Gadara ?; it preserves Giacomo Leopardi's autographed manuscripts and codes of inestimable historical value; thousands of ancient books; hundreds of thousands of modern and contemporary titles; book collections kept exactly as they were collected (the ancient and modern music library of Count Lucchesi Palli; the donation of Eleonora D'orlea to the Duchess of Aosta). you just cannot study us, silent and admired in the magnificent halls

Free giant library that is filled with historical architecture, but also modern content. While we were there, an entire room was dedicated to Batman and the ?th anniversary of the comic and its evolution into mainstream media.

Beautiful inside but I agree with others that have commented here. Poorly managed. I bought my passport with me after reading these reviews. I showed it and then got in fine but then when I found a place to sit, I was told (I think, because I don’t understand italian well) that I had to leave my bag downstairs. Also perhaps I wasn’t allowed to sit there? Unsure. One would think that there might be some signs written in English or at least that some of the rules would be explained to me when I gave my passport. I had asked at the desk if I just go up and she said yes. Still worth having a look around. Doesn’t cost to go in.

Beautiful library, the eternal realm of books is actually breathtaking. I love the fact that you can sit there and read or work in perfect silent with all students around you studying. I went there during fall 2018
