★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dietro l'altare c'è un bellissimo quadro dell'ultima cena. Altri quadri che meritano, soprattutto gli organi sono stupendi. Da fuori c'è una bella vista sul paese ed oltre. Dopo aver fatto la salita per arrivarci, vale la pena entrare.
Behind the altar there is a beautiful picture of the Last Supper. Other paintings that deserve, especially the organs are gorgeous. From the outside there is a beautiful view over the town and beyond. After making the climb to get there, it is worth entering.

Inserita nel costone della montagna con il paese medioevale, ricorda alcuni scorci tipici siciliani. I parrocchiani tessono elogi al parroco animatore diocesano.
Going to churches could be the destination for traveling around Italy. The majesty and history of this cathedral is surprising in Castel di Sangro. Inserted in the mountain ridge with the medieval town, it recalls some typical Sicilian views. The parishioners praise the diocesan animating pastor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La basilica di Santa Maria Assunta fu realizzata nella seconda metà del X secolo in sostituzione della di Santa Maria ad duas Basilicas del V secolo.
Distrutta dal terremoto del 1456, fu subito ricostruita con la struttura tuttora esistente.
Degni di nota sono il loggiato quattrocentesco e il gruppo bronzeo del Battesimo del Cristo posto sulla sommità del Battistero e attribuito alla scuola di Benvenuto Cellini.
Visita bella ed interessante
