d	dog mile on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well we can start saying that Italy isn't famous for public transport and/or even regional and national ones; decades ago they went for car industry to sustain a weak economy. This is the result today: extremely polluted regions in the all north, except if you go in the country side, where I did go in my weekend in which, since this lack of transport I had to rent a car to go from Milan to Casale Monferrato, 1 hour distance more or less and no direct trains. But the cherry is the in/famous Italian motorway system who actually cost me €11 for such a small distance. Besides, motorway's banners aren't clear enough, and especially when you arrive to the Milan 'barriera', confusing and time wasted waiting. Italy is beautiful and should really invest in serious infrastructure to reduce and the pollution that is now a real problem.
