For some years now I have been visiting the archaeological museum in summer, both for the activities for children and adults that you can do (Etruscan writing, weaving, mosaic, etc. ...) and for the different excursions that you can undertake. Immersed in nature you can find beautiful panoramic views of the Gulf of Baratti and the hills surrounding Populonia. The various routes differ in difficulty and distance, sometimes you need to equip shoes and clothing suitable for the most challenging stretches. There is a bar/restaurant and toilets next to the entrance to the park, with a small children's playground and benches for packed lunches. This place is worth at least one visit.

Great place to visit. Make sure you go through the barrier and don't pay and display! Choice of 3 routes one around burials, one through woods to the necropolis and another long way. As we had kids, we just did the walk to the necropolis. It was scorching, and until the woods, there is little shade. Took between 1-2 hours and there is a place to stop for a picnic halfway too.

Great family beach, warm clear water, safe, good for snorkeling.

We liked it very much! The ticket prices are not cheap, but reasonable. However, the price for all paths is a bit steep. We had not enough time for it, but would definitely go back!

Great Excavation site. Very impressive, especially the caved necropolis further up. It is definetly worth a trip. Make sure not to do it on the hottest day. There is not much shadow around.
