★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As we searched for a bar with seating on the day after Christmas, Bamboo beckoned us like an oasis in the desert. A kind gentleman gave up his seat, and we felt relief after a futile attempt to find an available taxi in the tourist heart of Bologna. I needed a cocktail like a heroin addict needs recovery.
Lara, of Dr. Zhivago fame, made my martini beautifully, and she was intelligent and engaging. Traits all bartenders should have, but often don’t. Bamboo was the perfect bar, and I hope to return often. Bamboo combined elegance and sophistication with an authentic welcome. What more could anyone want?

The bar inside does not respect at all the COVID measures, the cashier (that seemto be the manager) was smoking inside the awful smelling Iquos (that in a pretend to be high-class bar talks a lot about how to perceive the whole cocktail experiences)
Regarding the drinks they are conceptually all over the place. W
Pretentious ans extremely unbalanced: way too sweet, way too perfumed and completely liquor taste present
For a high priced cocktail i would go to other prestigious bar in the city

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bamboo was a very pleasant experience for us. We want to say big thank you to Elena who took great care of us and both served upp interesting cocktails and gave us recommendations for the rest of our visit in Bologna. We tried the food and got som delicious tartars and a bao. The menu is a bit unconventional, but I like that and would like to come back to try som more of their cocktails.
