B & B San Remigio Florence

The room was bright, cozy and clean. The host was so kind. One thing bad was.. some noise from outside(or inside the house). I couldn't sleep well during the night because of it.

It is a truly hospitable place, very comfy and clean and its location is central to all what's good in Florence. The owner is very welcoming and personally makes sure you're happy with your stay not only at his place but in Florence as well.

Excellent stay, the B&B is very well located and connected with buses too. The bedroom and bathroom are large and nice, everything very clean and with amenities. Also i should mentioned the owners are very, very kind and helpful. Overall is great and we will probably comeback if we are back in Florence.

This is a great place to stay in Florence. My room and bathroom had plenty of space, the beds comfortable (not too hard or soft) and the shower perfect after a long day walking. Andrea and Cecilia the hosts are very personable and provided great help in navigating Florence (and the italian administration as my bag was delayed on arrival). Very much recommend staying here if you are visiting Florence.

Great stay in Florence. Cozy room right in the centre. Friendly and helpful staff - well everything was top notch.

We were advised by the proprietor to to park our car within the ZTL at a garage local to the B&B and reassured not to worry about any fees or charges, which would be fully paid for by the garage. This was against our wish to park at a garage just outside the ZTL. We followed the advice by the proprietor and left our car with the garage for the duration of our stay. Upon returning home from our trip we received a fine for entering the ZTL (the fine received was for a later date - which confirms that they do not park the car at this location!) We were told by the proprietor not to worry as the fine would be paid by the car park and it was an error. We kept in communication and continuously told not to worry as the fine would be resolved on several occasions, even after the fine doubled in value, as the garage would definitely resolve the issue. It became apparent the matter was not being resolved after a full year when we received a reminder and further warning. We contacted the proprietor again, except this time they washed their hands of the matter and insisted it was now nothing to do with them as 'a recommendation is just a recommendation'. We then liaised with the local authority, however as we did not follow the formal appeal process form the outset we could not do anything. The fleeting correspondence we received from the garage, was not coherent in any form of understanding and they did not pick up the phone at any point. It is exceptionally disappointing that the proprietor couldn't walk a minute to the garage and have a conversation with them to resolve an issue of their making. Particularly as the B&B have a direct arrangement with them in receiving favourable rates and push their customers to park at this location. For avoidance of doubt the garage is 'Florence Parking - Garage Tintori'. A great pity we did not read the reviews about this on google, and instead took the proprietor's advice believing him to have our best interests. We are exceptionally disappointed by the general attitude and weakness in resolving the matter, firstly by advising us to ignore the matter and secondly by ignoring us. Setting this to one side the B&B was pleasant enough in a central location for all that Florence has to offer. The breakfast offering wasn't great however despite the positive google reviews, and it would be far more pleasant to find a piazza or cafe in the sunshine to start the day. Sadly the experience for us did not end on the day we left. The lack of integrity shown, time expended liaising with different parties and the amount of money it cost us (182.48 euros) is the reason we cannot provide a positive review.

Stayed here for one night last week and it was brilliant. The guy who checked us in was so helpful, and gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip to the countryside which turned out to be great! The location was brilliant, just next to a road with lots of great food places, including a famous sandwich place with massive queues outside. The highlight was definitely the terrace garden though - absolutely beautiful! Would definitely stay here again if I came back to Florence
