Small grocery with great sandwiches, for € 2.50 so close to the Uffizi, you can't ask for better

More than a "shop" I would call it the "garden of delights" ... Fanciful and not gross food ... for those who love taste and not quantity ... try it!

Nice shop for hassle-free DIY sandwiches along with a choice of local produce. The lady who served us was very nice. Crushed bread a little dry but salty, finocchiona, pecorino di Pienza ... good!

Grazie Novella e Alessandro e buon lavoro!
The shop is my favorite shop! They have very good and guaranteed food specialties: the bread is delicious, as is the salted schiacciata and, at the season, the one with grapes, a typically Florentine sweet, simple and genuine that recalls poor Tuscany, when there were no very elaborate desserts and when the peasants made bread, they left a piece of dough, they softened it with grapes that they could not bring to the table because they did not look very inviting and prepared the famous crushed with grapes! What about sauces, tomato purée, crostini pasta, cheeses and cured meats, wines and liqueurs! Above all there is the kind cordiality of the two managers, Novella and Alessandro, exquisite and culturally prepared people with whom I sometimes talk to! Thanks Novella and Alessandro and good work!

The best. Super cheap and very high quality. A hidden treasure. High quality products such as scarpaccia ham and many artisanal cheeses and cold cuts. The lady is always very nice and helpful. A shop of other times. It is rare to find something like this in the center of Florence.

Absolutely fantastic little grocery store near Duomo de Firenze. My girlfriend and I were only in Florence for 3 nights, but we stopped by La Bottega every single night to buy meat, cheese, freshly made focaccia and sun dried tomatoes, and pesto for cheese boards that we made and enjoyed on our Air BnB balcony. Better than any cheese board we could have got at a restaurant. The owner was fantastic and gave great recommendations as well as wine pairings. Even took some pesto home to Boston with us! Would give this more than 5 stars if I could.

Fantastic shop with lots of high quality Italian delights. This was one of our highlights in Florence. We bought balsamic vingarette, truffle olive oil, truffles, pasta, etc. One year later, we are still enjoying the spoils from Florence. The lady was very kind, pleasant and friendly - it was a joy speaking with her. We can't wait to come back.
