Abbiamo preso uno scooter a noleggio. Ci siamo trovati molto bene: recenti, di grossa cilindrata, ma maneggevoli. Molto disponibili ad ogni nostra richiesta. Unica nota i caschi forniti non integrali, ma siamo sicuri che nel tempo si doteranno anche di questi.

Noleggio last minute di questa bellissima VW Polo per il mio soggiorno a Palermo. Ottime condizioni di noleggio con la possibilità di km illimitati e prezzo molto competente con i principali competitor. Ho apprezzato particolarmente la gentilezza del responsabile del noleggio che con chiarezza e professionalità ha gestito il tutto. Se vi trovate a Palermo e vi serve un auto, siete nel posto giusto!

So I was recently in Palermo and hired a car for my trip around Sicily. After reading so many bad reviews of the usual big hire firms I went and google mapped car hire sites in Palermo and eventually came across a couple of small independents. One of whom replied back swiftly to my English into Italian Google translate email. He also does not speak English but used Google translate too. We had a good exchange and I booked with him. Due to my delays in responding I had just missed out on a discount deal for the full insurance which would have saved a fair amount, but nonetheless I went with the full insurance deal as I did not know him or his operation. His office was in the city centre which suited me as I landed from the sea port not the airport. I got a class C car Citreon C3 aircross, almost new, It had a few paint chips and a dink on the drivers door, I went to inspect the car and he said he is not bothered by such marks, only proper accident stuff. So off I went on my trip and all went fine. I dropped the car back to a car park just outside the airport at Palermo a week later. The fuel was Full to Full. I had tried to clean the car but due to the Easter weekend I couldn't. The car park centre knew we were coming and took the car. We had to pay 15 EU for a minibus back to the airport, but that was the only surprise. Then this past day or so got my invoice and it was as stated, no extras, no fake damage etc. So the whole car hire experience was very good. I have tried to post a good review on the review section buy TripAdvisor cannot... or will not allow reviews of new car hire companies for some reason. So I thought I would post one here. So there are good guys out there. Stay away for the main ones who rip you off inventing marks and damage and overpriced repairs that they no intention of completing. The guy I used was Maurizio at Autoinrent. on Via Luigi Pirandello, 34, 90144 Palermo PA, Italy. I had the car 9 days in total due to the collection and drop off times. It cost me 585 euro plus the 180 full insurance tax. Not sure if you can collect from the airport but I'm sure they have it worked out using that car park. So the car hire was way cheaper than the usual ones, the car was good and the whole experience was good for me too. By the way, watch out especially in the south for orange speed camera boxes that are about a dustbin height and tucked away behind walls etc.... very sneaky. Plus the Palermo city suburbs motorway has some black camera boxes in the middle meridian to catch fast lane speeders too.. very hard to spot. Only saw them in the city.
