IN REPLY: Where to begin? The kitchen was totally remodeled just 4 years ago, not 30. The young man sent to do the job came without tools sufficient for the job (e.g., a snake to clean the pipes), and left it to ME to find, buy, and install the washer (he said he had to go to another job and didn't have time to properly finish mine). So he left - with 100€ of my money. It is simply not true that I did not pay him. And what is more - I had to get a different plumber to come in and finish the job, after the pipe had nearly been broken off the wall.
