K	Kristian Kamp on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful restaurant with delicious food and very friendly people. At the end of our holiday we wanted something different than pasta/pizza but we were afraid our possibilities in this little village were limited. Luckily we found this place. There is no menu as the meals change regularly. Instead, they will explain the select number of starters and main courses to you in detail. They can do so in Italian, English, German or French. If you weren't hungry before, you will be after you hear the story behind each dish. The food is typical Ligurian/Mediterranean and prepared with the greatest of care. A sweet selection of local wines is available to go with it. Please be aware that you cannot pay with card and if you find yourself cashless you will be pointed to an ATM with a hefty transaction fee.

O	Orla Plaice on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely one of the best meals we’ve ever had. My husband and I ate in Assirto on one of the last nights of our honeymoon at the beginning of June. We happened upon the restaurant as we were strolling through Moneglia the day before and the owners couldn’t have been friendlier even though they weren’t open – it was no problem to make a reservation for the following night. The whole experience was gorgeous. The restaurant is small, decorated with dark wood, barrels, bottles of wine on the shelves. There is no menu. The lovely owners come to the table and explain the menu choices to you, which adds to the intimate ambience and creates a lovely atmosphere. The food was incredible. We had crumbed anchovies and smoked beef (like carpaccio) to start. For mains we had the tuna and the pork belly. We had dessert wines to finish which were served with buttery shortbread biscuits. Each bite was better than the last, we absolutely loved it. The food lived up to, and far exceeded, any expectations we had. Such an enjoyable evening, would recommend to anyone lucky enough to be in the area.

One early review of Assirto claimed it would not be unreasonable to journey there from Paris just for dinner. He was right. It’s that good. Luca and Alexandra have a passion for food that they share with their customers. Ingredients are locally sourced and selected for their unique characteristics. It is all beautifully presented in a elegant and simple setting, keeping the focus on the food…and wine. In other restaurants you might pay much more for an artful, elaborate meal that will be memorable, but it will not be as inviting, honest and enjoyable as the dining experience at Assirto, in Moneglia.
N	Neil Knight on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5 stars definitely for the quality of food however the front of house service was really lacking so 3 stars removed. For example we were waiting 25 minutes after we finished our meal before we could get someone's attention to pay and leave. One staff was in a 15 minute conversation with another table and another was not keeping a visual check around the restaurant. We were sitting there 25 minutes without a drink or even glass of water waiting for a bill to pay. This is a small restaurant so it's not that difficult. We were reasonably happy until then but this really soured our mood. Wine selection is cheap but OK. I get the feeling that he trots out the same old red, rose or white whatever the customer asks for. He gives the same old repeated wine rules to every table in the restaurant. They only accept cash which the did not inform us until the bill came! Tax dodge? As said food WAS outstanding, excellent; cannot fault it! Really good. If the service and other nonsense was better we would be returning, but for now we won't. Will try again in 6 months, but until then we will frequent other great places in Moneglia.
P	Philipp Blanz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Searched for a restaurant in Moneglia and came up with this one . First of all this is one of my favourite restaurants I’ve ever been to. They have a standard price of 14€ for starters and 18€ for main course . They don’t have a menu , the waiter just tells you the around 5 dishes to choose for starter and menu . Honestly they all sounded very good but I got myself the filled octopuses as a starter and they were outstanding. As my main dish I had the medium rare grilled tuna and it was even better . My Mum got a nut pig and It was awesome with just this nut flavour. The dessert was a panna cotta like pudding. The staff was very friendly and even talked different languages. All in all a great place to chill out and eat great food .
M	Megan Fjeld on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Second time visiting Moneglia and new without a doubt Assirto would be my first priority. I simply love this restaurant. I love the couple that run it. I love how they make you feel important - bringing their love of food to you while explaining the menu and reason behind the items. Highly recommend!!
