T	Terry McKinley on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A truly remarkable hotel nestling in the shadow of Mt Etna, central to Catania, Taormina and Syracuse. Only a pool bar. Spotlessly clean and with a definitive sense of Sicilian style and chic. Sited on the edge of Naxos and close to the beach. If you wish for peace and relaxation, this is for you. Great staff and food. However be aware and nothing to do with the hotel, rather the climate and terrain, beaches are very Rocky and mosquitoes abound. Check Alfredo Casablanca ice cream shop on way to beach and take care navigating the local streets, Piccadilly circus. Thanks Diamond for a great break and learn the English.

Perfectly clean, modern and quiet hotel, really friendly, helpful staff with fantastic breakfast selection and outstanding restaurant, which I have to say are FIRST CLASS, out of this world! Super roof top swimming pool and loungers. The hotel has a private beach with great facilities, but just a bit rocky. Hotel Diamond is not in the middle of the other hotels, which I believe keeps it unique and quiet. Being slightly on the edge of town gave us the chance to walk to other shops or restaurants. The rooms may be a bit small, but let's face it, with the fantastic facilities, location and weather you are not going to spend time in a room. I highly recommend Hotel Diamond.
D	DARYL “DMT79” MT on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not a 5* Hotel by any stretch of the imagination. I don't mean to be derogatory to others, but anyone giving this place a good review simply hasn't stayed in a proper 5* hotel let alone resort. Staff are aloof (Mostly, there were the odd exception), Breakfast mediocre, restaurant and bars very over priced for the area. Half the facilities were closed but the hotel gives no real explanation why. I think it's more for show. When I spoke to the manager his attitude was very much along the lines of it's nothing wrong with the hotel, it was myself that needed to change my attitude until I liked the hotel and service. My advice........book another hotel.
C	Chris O'Meara on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is certainly not a 5 star. It is certainly expensive enough however! The bed is of a basic quality and not close to 4 let alone 5 star, the room is generally quite small and lacked balcony, the bathroom is fine but shower not consistently warm and only the hand held part worked. Air conditioning intermittent. Soundproofing is poor and you can hear other guests moving around upstairs and in the corridor. The breakfast was fine but not as good as other 3 star hotels I've been to - same food every day with no fresh cooked options. Cakes were good if you like them for breakfast. The pool is fine and patio area good for sunbathing although too small if many people want to use it. Car park is 12 euro a night which is crazy so you have to park on the street. The hotel charges 5 star prices such as 4 euro for a small lemonade.(prices over the top generally) If you don't have a car location would be awkward although there is a limited bus service for the local area. The surrounding area is fairly basic so you'll need to go to other areas for dinner although there are some nice places within walking distance but not much atmosphere around. Taormina is a good local bet. Overall this is a solid 3 star and the staff generally nice but far too expensive for what it offers.

The mini bus to Taormina was useful, David the driver was so funny! The only recommendation for improvement would be to have another coffee machine... Always a queue! Thank you for an amazing week.

The room was big and the bed comfortable, bathtub & shower clean and spacious. The breakfast was good, the only thing I can suggest it’s to put another coffee machine cause at peak time we had to line and wait like 5 minutes... The location is perfect if you have a car as Taormina it’s only 10 minutes driving.

Not a single iron in the hotel and only option was an 8 euro laundry service (for a single shirt) which you'll only get back the next day. Had to get creative. Shower head didn't function, AC has to be turned on by reception and had to walk down for each request as phone didn't work. Staff were nice, friendly and extremely helpful. Also shuttle service to taormina was a nice touch.
P	Peter Levenspiel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful hotel with a traditional Sicilian feel about it. The pool is really nice. Staff are lovely. We had a basic room without a balcony but it was clean and well maintained and we were very comfortable in the huge double bed. Slightly frustrating for Brits is that there is no kettle available in the room. Breakfast is buffet style with lots of options, we never got much passed the fresh fruit, yogurt and cakes. There's a free shuttle running up to Taormina or a short walk around to the main Beach area. The car park is really handy. All in all we had a very pleasant stay here and would love to return some day.
