Hospital "St. Vincent" Sirina

Ho partorito in questo ospedale...mi sono trovata benissimo con tutti ..una coccola continua, un albergo a 5stelle. Reparto di ginecologia e ostetricia davvero ottimo. Bellissima esperienza molto precisi e attenti! Ho avuto una complicazione al parto e un brutto post parto, mi hanno risolto il problema con continue visite e controlli. Molto scrupolosi e umani! Dalle ginecologhe, ostetriche, infermiere alle inservienti. Tutto lo staff è fenomenale. Vi ringrazio tantissimo! ❤️

Staff were amazing and we were in and out with a sick ten year old in just over an hour with care and attention and prescriptions

Todat I came to the emergency site of the hospital with a friend of mine who probably broke his leg. We waited 5h to meet the first physician...

It’s a terrible hospital ... nobody cares anything at the emergency ... waited for 20 mins just to register and 3 more hours waiting for nothing ... just 1 nurse ! If you ‘re tourist DON’T go here ... very unprofessional !

This hospital needs a serious overhaul of their 'emergency' medical care and I would not even recommend going to Sicily when this is the main hospital. It is a DANGEROUS hospital to be in if you have any kind of health problem. My friend had a horrendous experience in the emergency department. She was ignored (even when getting an Italian translator), split up from her partner and left in a wheelchair for over 10 hours with no access to water. Other patients had doors slammed in their faces to ignore their pleas, and the hospital staff were just totally inhumane. After 10 hours my friend had an X-ray and was told they 'couldn't tell' if her ankle was broken. She was given no pain killers or any strapping to her ankle before being wheeled out and left. Quite incredible this hospital is in a first world country.

Let’s start by saying our emergency was unique and that it occurred at sea, 7 hours away from this port city. We arrived to shore with an ambulance awaiting our arrival. From the moment our friend with a badly broken leg was handed over to the paramedics, through the emergency room triage, x-rays and casting, this hospital exceeded our expectations. The efficiencies were simply amazing. Our friend was shuffled from point a to b and back to a and then to c, all without an identification bracelet. Sometimes she was placed to wait next to an elderly man you were sure was about to breathe his last breath, and other times next to someone who’s shoulder and arm were broken. We met nice people along the way helping us find hidden elevators to the floors we needed to be on. Way finding signage is non existent. The best part of all of this is the work the teams performed. My friend required a full leg cast in order for the bones to be immobilized for her return to the States for surgery. The team casted the leg and inserted a slit in the cast to accommodate swelling during air travel. The doctor in the states said the Italian Dr. did an amazing job! Perfect in fact. Now, thanks to the Italian Dr from this hospital, the friend may not need surgery at all. Unbelievable really! I can’t say enough positive things about our experience and time at this hospital, but we all are truly grateful for all that they did to help us with our emergency while in a foreign place.
