★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Steep walk up was worth it. Top of the fortress offers a spectacular view of the valley and the lake.
Unfortunately due to Covid19, the gift shop and the restaurant was closed, but the outdoor bar was still open.
Wear comfortable and grippy footwear, its a bit of a walk uphill and back down.

The walk was steep but we'll paved. The view was stunning. The path is steep and can be slippery when wet so be careful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice walk through Arco that leads to the castle. The views are stunning and it’s a nice walk going up. Good to start the day or finish it after a good diner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didn't go inside the castle but rather wanted to see the view, which is mostly of the town below. You can't see much of lake Garda so don't climb here if you came for that :-)
However, the old town is beautiful and walking through the small charming streets is also nice. It take around 20 min from the parking to the top.
Also, you must leave your car in the parking area below the castle. Give your navigation app the parking spot and not this spot (the castle) because you cant drive a car there (ZTL Zone), if you do you might get a fine!
In the parking area there is a while zone for locals with card "wheel",and a blue zone for guests - you must pay at the machine (English is available) and put the ticket on your front windshield.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arco Castle has his specific majestic architecture. From the Middle Ages, all travellers been fascinated - Rilke wrote poems, Dürel draw.
You can climb till panoramic square in front of the castle for free, but if you want to visit the castle be ready to have a money with you.
