Unica critica è aver inserito la coppa di Nestore (reperto archeologico rinvenuto nella necropoli di San Montano a Lacco Ameno, con l'iscrizione che costituisce uno dei più antichi esempi di scrittura alfabetica) insieme a tante altre, forse uno spazio dedicato sarebbe stato più giusto e avrebbe valorizzato maggiormente l'importanza del reperto.
Small and well kept museum. The only criticism is having inserted the cup of Nestor (archaeological find found in the necropolis of San Montano in Lacco Ameno, with the inscription which is one of the oldest examples of alphabetic writing) together with many others, perhaps a dedicated space would have been more correct and would have enhanced the importance of the find more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely little museum with ancient greek pottery and sculptures, including the Cup of Nestor which dates from around 750 BC and has one of the earliest examples of writing using the greek alphabet. The museum is a former villa which has gorgeous views of the sea, mountains and town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a museum in need of a make-over. The finds are very exciting, after all from the first ancient Greek (Euboian) colony in Italy from the beginning at the 8th century B.C.
"Nestor's cup" with an early Greek inscription is here, but exhibited so you cannot see the inscription.
However, I like that the exhibition goes from the earliest funds and up, and also includes geology - an important part of the island.
