Pasta fresca fatta da loro e prodotti ortofrutticoli dal proprio orto. Ho mangiato una tagliatella imponente. Ci voglio tornare con più tempo a disposizione. We were there only a short time because we were passing through, but it was a pleasant discovery. Suggestive location, excellent cuisine. Fresh pasta made by them and fruit and vegetables from their own garden. I ate a massive noodle. I want to go back with more time.

Molto consigliato. Osteria Zahrtmann is a place that combines art, history and delicious cuisine. The owners are fantastic and the hours spent at the Osteria at dinner have been a journey of discovery of the work of Zahrtmann and of the other Scandinavian painters who have marked the history of Civita d'Antino, and of the natural and culinary beauties of the area. Highly recommended.

Prezzi medio/alti, ma ne vale la pena! Il posto ha anche una storia . I had lunch several times with a group of friends in this tavern. Excellent cod cooked in a delicious way. Kind and competent owners. Medium / high prices, but well worth it! The place also has a story.

I proprietari del locale sono molto gentili, disponibili e ci hanno raccontato un sacco di storie bellissime su Civita d'Antino, la montagna e il pittore da cui deriva il nome del locale. Per non parlare del cibo e delle bevande: tutte proposte con ingredienti locali ispirate alla vera tradizione Abruzzese. Sicuramente passeremo nuovamente in futuro a fare un saluto, grazie di tutto!! Beautiful place and phenomenal food. The owners of the place are very kind, helpful and have told us a lot of wonderful stories about Civita d'Antino, the mountain and the painter from which the name of the place derives. Not to mention the food and drinks: all offered with local ingredients inspired by the true Abruzzese tradition. We will definitely come back in the future to say hello, thank you for everything !!

Da loro ti senti a casa e e ne esci sempre arricchito sia a livello culinario che umano. Consigliatissimo. Roberto and Stefania, the owners, enhance the territory like few others. With them you feel at home and you always come out enriched both on a culinary and human level. Highly recommended.
J	Joachim Keittelmann on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozy restaurant in the heart of Civito D’antino where the Danish and Norwegian painters had a large influence on local arts. The restaurant is named after the Danish painter Zahrtmann. There are a lot of paintings and even though the town does my house a museum (as far as I know), this place is a bit like a museum with all the paintings. We called the place a day before arrival, which was very good as they would otherwise be closed. The owner and his wife was very kind to open their restaurant only for us. We did not receive a menu, but was asked if we wanted the traditional menu. We said yes, and even though I am a vegetarian not eating cheese, that was also possible to cater for by the cook. My wife was pregnant at the time, so she also needed the cheese to be pasteurized, which the owner also confirmed it was. All in all superb service with delicious food.
