B	Benito Capobianco on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nella quiete del paesino d'Abruzzo di Civitella Roveto, un po defilato dalla piazza centrale, sorge questo ristorante, dall'ormai cinquantennela attività, gestito dalle sorelle Assunta ed Anna che hanno proseguito la tradizione culinaria iniziata negli anni 70 dai genitori. Cucina casereccia, ma di ottima qualità nella quale vengono privilegiate pietanze locali e "frutti" che la natura circostante mette loro a disposizione (funghi, tartufi, bacche speziate, ecc.). Nello specifico, in un incontro conviviale, offerto dal caro amico e collega Michele, che svolge anche attività di guardia medica nel bel borgo abruzzese, abbiamo degustato un antipasto misto di montagna, una chitarra (rigorosamente fatta in casa) con funghi porcini e tartufo, una spettacolare tagliata di manzo con rucola e parmigiano (talmente tenera da rendere superfluo l'uso del coltello), delle costatine di agnello con patate locali e per finire un'ottima millefoglie, sempre realizzata dalle sapienti mani delle due sorelle, titolari del ristorante. Il tutto accompagnato a dell'ottimo vino rosso "diecicoppe cantina Pasetti" e dulcis in fundo a della genziana sempre di produzione locale. Locale pulitissimo e in linea con le norme anticovid vigenti. Il valore aggiunto: la gentilezza e discrezione delle signore Anna ed Assunta, pronte a consigliare il "percorso gustativo" più idoneo ai prodotti che la natura offre in quella particolare stagione e sempre attente alle esigenze del cliente. In the quiet of the Abruzzo village of Civitella Roveto, a little sheltered from the central square, stands this restaurant, now 50 years old, run by the sisters Assunta and Anna who have continued the culinary tradition started in the 70s by their parents. Homemade cuisine, but of excellent quality in which local dishes and "fruits" are favored that the surrounding nature makes available to them (mushrooms, truffles, spicy berries, etc.). Specifically, in a convivial meeting, offered by dear friend and colleague Michele, who also works as a medical guard in the beautiful Abruzzo village, we tasted a mixed mountain appetizer, a guitar (strictly homemade) with porcini mushrooms and truffles, a spectacular cut of beef with rocket and parmesan (so tender that the use of a knife is superfluous), lamb ribs with local potatoes and finally an excellent millefeuille, always made by the expert hands of the two sisters, owners of the restaurant. All accompanied by the excellent red wine "diecicoppe cantina Pasetti" and last but not least by locally produced gentian. Very clean place and in line with the anticovid regulations in force. The added value: the kindness and discretion of the ladies Anna and Assunta, ready to recommend the most suitable "taste path" for the products that nature offers in that particular season and always attentive to the customer's needs.
G	Guido Di Croce on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brutta esperienza. Per prima cosa non ci è stato richiesto il green pass, cosa a mio parere grave in questo periodo difficile. Non c'era un menu alla carta ma solo frettolosamente detto a voce. Tempi di attesa molto molto lunghi. Antipasto all'italiana buono ma niente di eccezionale. Abbiamo preso due primi ispirati dalla cucina casereccia tanto decantata, ma risultavano slegati e con poco sapore. Il peggio deve ancora venire: esposto il nostro parere alla cameriera, al momento del ritiro piatti, la ragazza ha riportato alla proprietaria delle cose del tutto false e inappropriate. Al momento del pagamento siamo stati accusati di aver detto che la cucina "fa schifo" cosa del tutto falsa grazie alla buona educazione insegnataci, inoltre la proprietaria non ha voluto sentire il racconto dei fatti accontentandosi unicamente di quello riportato dalla sua dipendente. Peccato. Siamo venuti a conoscenza di questo posto in quanto fedeli clienti del loro ristorante cugino "il cacciatore" dove accoglienza, gentilezza e buona cucina rendono il posto piacevole e unico, purtroppo il Santamaria non ha retto minimamente il confronto. Very very long waiting times. Italian antipasto good but nothing exceptional. We took two first courses inspired by the much praised home cooking, but they were unrelated and with little flavor. The worst is yet to come: having exposed our opinion to the waitress, at the time of collecting the dishes, the girl reported to the owner of the completely false and inappropriate things. At the time of payment we were accused of having said that the kitchen "sucks" which is completely false thanks to the good manners taught us, moreover the owner did not want to hear the story of the facts, settling only for the one reported by her employee. Sin. We came to know this place as loyal customers of their cousin restaurant "il cacciatore" where hospitality, kindness and good food make the place pleasant and unique, unfortunately the Santamaria did not stand up to comparison in any way.

Nella serata oggetto della recensione abbiamo mangiato agnello al forno con patate, scamorza, vino di qualità medio alta, genziana e caffè. La qualità? Buona ma nella norma anche se sono stato invitato perché avrei dovuto mangiare qualcosa di particolare. Per il resto personale molto gentile, probabilmente la conduzione è familiare...costo medio alto considerando il vino di cantine blasonate. It is a restaurant that I have also frequented in the past. In the evening under review we ate baked lamb with potatoes, scamorza cheese, medium-high quality wine, gentian and coffee. The quality? Good but ok even if I was invited because I should have eaten something special. For the rest, very kind staff, probably the management is family ... medium-high cost considering the wine of noble cellars.
