T	Thomas Herweg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Auf der 6.Etappe des Alpe Adria Trail fährt man von Tarvisio nach Gemona über die alte Bahntrasse, die hervorragend zu einem Fahrradweg ausgebaut wurde. Ohne große körperliche Anstrengung fährt man auf einem wunderschönen Weg an alten Städten und uriger Natur Richtung Udine. Auf den knapp 80 Kilometer kann man z.B im alten Bahnhof in Chiusaforte ganz toll Mittag machen. Bei einem leckeren Glas Weißwein und einem Teller Pasta schaut man auf die einem vorliegende Felswand, an der sich Esel und andere Tiere bewegen. Weiter geht es den Radweg an kleinen Cafés, idyllischen Dörfern und anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten, um dann in Gemona am Bahnhof mit seinem Fahrrad in den Zug zu steigen und für 10,30€ wieder nach Travisio zum Bahnhof zurück zu fahren, wo die Reise begann. Absolut empfehlenswert, oder für Radfahrer mit wenig Erfahrung. Gesamtdauer von Tarvisio bis Gemona ca. 5-6 Stunden wenn man es gemütlich angeht. On the 6th stage of the Alpe Adria Trail you drive from Tarvisio to Gemona along the old railway line, which has been excellently developed into a bicycle path. Without great physical exertion, you drive on a beautiful path to old cities and rustic nature towards Udine. On the almost 80 kilometers you can have a great lunch in the old train station in Chiusaforte, for example. With a delicious glass of white wine and a plate of pasta, you look at the rock wall on which donkeys and other animals move. We continue on the bike path at small cafés, idyllic villages and other sights, then hop on the train at Gemona at the train station and ride back to Travisio to the train station for € 10.30, where the journey began. Highly recommended, or for cyclists with little experience. Total time from Tarvisio to Gemona approx. 5-6 hours if you take it easy.

Allerdings wird es gegen Ende sehr unübersichtlich und der Radweg ist bis nach Germona schlecht ausgeschildert und es geht ein ganzes Stück die Straße entlang. Very nice bike path, cool tunnels and very nice views. However, it gets very confusing towards the end and the bike path to Germona is poorly signposted and it goes a long way along the road.

Der Radweg verläuft vorwiegend auf einer tollen, sanierten ehemaligen Bahnstrecke. Kurze Abschnitte verlaufen auf der Straße ansonsten schön neben bzw. abseits des Verkehrs. Kurz vor Venzone endet dieser tolle Radweg und die Tour muss auf der Straße weitergeführt werden. In Venzone sind wir in den Zug gestiegen und nach Udine gefahren. Dort übernachtet und anschließend nach Grado weitergefahren! Ein Erlebnis für Groß und Klein! We drove with a group of teenagers from Tarvisio to Venzone. The bike path runs mainly on a great, renovated former railway line. Short sections are on the road otherwise nice next to or away from the traffic. Shortly before Venzone ends this great bike path and the tour must be continued on the road. In Venzone we got on the train and went to Udine. Stayed there and then drove on to Grado! An experience for young and old!
M	Mote Engl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr schöne Etappe des Alpe Adria Radweg. Es geht von Tarvis weg immer leicht bergab. Der Weg ist toll gekennzeichnet. Die Route führt entlang der alten Bahntrasse durchs Kanaltal. Man fährt auch durch einige Tunnel. Diese sind meistens beleuchtet, es schadet aber nicht auch ein Licht mitzunehmen. Auch für Kinder zu empfehlen. Very nice stage of the Alpe Adria cycle path. It's always slightly downhill from Tarvisio. The path is well marked. The route leads along the old railway line through the Canal Valley. You also drive through some tunnels. These are mostly illuminated, but it doesn't hurt to take a light with you. Also recommended for children.
