the store owner is a person unprepared to deal with customers and an unheard of rudeness.

Pessima esperienza.
Bad experience. I bought a silk dress on July 26 (it seems to me, but I would not be wrong, by Viviana Uchitel) paid € 300 in 50% sales. After wearing it only once, a few days later, while I was already on vacation, I saw that the dress was losing all the ruffle and elasticity characteristics that made it snug and fashionable, reasons that pushed me to purchase. The second time I wore it, I found myself wearing a sort of shapeless shirt. I brought it back on September 2 (I was out in August, and they too were definitely closed for holidays). What I was looking for was an explanation and a solution, essentially a proper after-sales attention to the customer, also given the level of the shop .. They immediately told me that I had washed or ironed it (!) And when I explained that it had not happened none of this, also because it is clearly indicated on the label that the dress must be dry cleaned, and that I had worn it only twice, they replied that something had obviously happened, but they did not know what and that they had sold other clothes the same as mine without anything ever happening. Low level of listening, no attempt to solve the problem, no doubt on their part that the dress could be defective from the beginning. In the end they told me to take it to the dry cleaners, where perhaps they could have had a treatment to restore the necessary stretch line. I asked if it could be sent back to the manufacturer and they replied that it would cost € 200 for shipping as it was in America. They didn't even try to suggest a trusted dry cleaner, much less offered to provide them. As I repeat, no attention to the customer, moreover resident in the area, therefore not passing through, who could have purchased other products if only he had received a different treatment. I have lost 300 euros, but they certainly have the opportunity to sell me other of their expensive clothes.

A few weeks ago I was inside the shop, and I clearly heard the owner say, at least I think he is, "if you don't shut up I'll slap you." I really think he had it with the saleswoman. I put back what I was looking at and went out telling him a bad word! Obviously I'm getting the word out because that's what he deserves! He has no respect for those who work even though they know how tiring it is to be selling!

I am writing a -long- review for Alexander because Alexander is my favorite clothing /concept store in the world - and I have been to many. ;) DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE ALEXANDER EXPERIENCE - A HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR ROMAN HOLIDAY. After having shopped with the Alexander staff for many years, I stand behind this 5 star review. So much so in fact, that I have traveled to Italy many times just to shop with my personal stylist Tatiana - there is no more intimate sartorial shopping experience than Alexander, and there is no more *patient* staff that I have experienced. To truly understand Alexander, you must appreciate detail, art, family, natural style & fabrics, and good human nature. The result? Pieces that can't be sourced anywhere else that you can feel amazing wearing. Alexander amplifies your inner self expression. There is a seemingly infinite number of places to shop in Rome. Here are the 3 main highlights that make Alexander *the* store not to miss. 1. Customer experience Alexander is a lifestyle. The staff works tirelessly to customize your style to *you*: whether that's your activities, your comfort level, body temperature, geographic location - they literally bend over to ensure that no fit is out of place and they don't stop until you're satisfied. What you see when you walk past the incredible window displays is an entry point; when you enter the store, the collaboration between you and the Alexander team brings life to the pieces. Every detail counts at Alexander. I am a discerning perfectionist, and can confidently say that Alexander won't hang a piece or offer it for sale if there is a single stitch out of place; pants are always tailored to perfection, jackets hang like you're born in them. 2. Art & Quality Every piece in the Alexander store tells a stylistic story. Whether you leave with one cashmere-linen t-shirt, the world's softest stretch-leather pants, jacket, or gilet, or *many* treasured pieces, you will come back to each item time and time again, learning new details, and about yourself in the process - for isn't style a personal evolution in self expression? How rare it is to combine art, sartorial, cosmopolitan, and compassion into one store. As a client, you get out of it what you put into it, and touching, feeling, experiencing the fabrics, understanding the "why" behind each piece amplifies the experience. This is not a "labels" store, but you can be confident every piece will be of a higher quality, more accessible price point, and wearable art. This is more than I could say about the "big designer names". This is not only high fashion, high art, but also a utilitarian, accessible, forward-looking oasis that is a commentary on the emotions of the world at a point in time. For those with discerning taste, a desire for individualized self expression, and a compassion for continuing the state of the art, look no further than Alexander store. Whether you work with my stylist Tatiana, or David, Walter, Deborah, Arbi or Stefano, you will walk away one of the most stylish people around, with a deeper understanding and appreciation of Italian luxury, identity, and art. 3. Location You might be asking, "how do I know that Alexander's pieces are current, that they'll live a lifetime, that they'll be reflective of state of the art?" If you've ever been to Piazza di Spagna, you've seen the *thousands upon thousands* of people walking past the store, sitting on the Spanish steps, shopping, wearing whatever is new / on trend / fashionable. It's like being in a very expensive, chic, busy melting pot. The Alexander staff treats this exposure somewhat like the ultimate edit: they see every fit, every color, every style, people from ~every country and then create a highly curated edit that offers only the most usable, livable, stylish luxury pieces. I can't think of another store that offers the commentary of the brain power of such observant artists & buyers at Alexander. Thank you Alexander staff. I look forward to another *many* years of our relationship and am elated that we met. Jonathan K.
