I was here 2 years ago but the memory is beautiful; the city a real surprise; teachers are much more than teachers, good but friendly and helpful

The structure of the school does not match the values charged by the courses: the lighting in the rooms is poor, the walls are dirty, the paintings are small and in some rooms poorly positioned behind the students, not in front; the chairs are uncomfortable (plastic, folding) and those that have padding are in very poor condition. Administration is somewhat disorganized. It requires prior registration for all activities - which students do - but in workshops there is always a lack of material for everyone. There was a cooking class in which the table had been set in advance - made up for half of those present - ingredients were missing and those that were insufficient to prepare the recipes to be taught. Not only that, the rice made available for the preparation of the risotto was spoiled. In the material used (a kind of handout), there is no shortage of sexist and sexist texts. There are too many games and group activities, and no time for reading and reflection. The leveling system is flawed. To enter a course, you need to take a test that evaluates only grammar - no text interpretation, writing and listening. The statements of this proof are unclear and no examples of what is expected from the answer are displayed. That is: it is a test made so that you do not do well, fall below your level and stay a little longer there. But if you know you are beyond the level you dropped - and your appraiser recognizes this, management tells you that it is very important to stay at the lower level for a week, as they have noticed that you need to revise. Do you agree. After all, they were also told that the courses are flexible, that new classes are opened each week and that they can move forward when the first week is over. Then, the following week, the speech changes. They tell you that you cannot advance because the next level is ending. Strangely, new colleagues join in the last week of the hired course - some without speaking a word in Italian, affecting the learning curve of others. This denotes that there is no real concern with learning ... The issue is to have more and more students - who are distributed with a good deal of randomness. Ironically, it is a language and culture course that does not offer cultural activities. Only a few city tours and surrounding cities - the cost of which is not included in the course.

Comparing this school to other schools it lacks quality for the price. The teachers are friendly but not all of them seem to have a proper language teaching education. The school's appartements aren't in good shape.

There were some great teachers there that I really loved, but the administration is awful. They take advantage, the owner is just plain rude and disrespectful, and they will stunt your learning for their profit. I was there for almost 6 months, so I saw it all. Not only do they prevent your progress when attendance is low, but they will basically claim that the reason is because you’re not good enough to be in the next level. This is just complete lying on their part so that they do not have to pay another teacher until there are more people at your level. They often told new classmates the same thing after their entrance tests, and told them that they could catch up if they also took private or small group lessons in the afternoon, for an extra cost, of course... For weeks after the holiday break I learned nothing new because the class was a complete repeat. I spoke to many people at other language schools that said I was definitely not suppose to be at the low level that they kept me at, but actually much higher. The location of the Frodo/Bilbo housing was great, but for weeks no one came to clean. When it was “cleaned” it was very half-assed. Repairs took constant reminders before they were maybe fixed. Getting new sheets was often such a pain, that I would just wash my own. But annoyingly, the plugs for the washer and dishwasher were on a timer and only worked after 8pm on weeknights. There were separate dumpsters around the corner for paper, plastic, organic, and general, and a container for glass across the street. However, if the cleaning person came before you could take out the recycling, he would just throw all of it into the general dumpster across the street.
