Paolo, il mio insegnante, è stato bravíssimo. Tutto a posto, ma le aule sono TROPPO calde da Aprile...
Paolo, my teacher, was very good. All right, but the classrooms are TOO hot since April ...

Ambiente molto friendly e personale gentilissimo!
it is the second time that I attend an English course in this school, and on both occasions I was positively impressed by the professionalism of the teachers and the quality of the lessons. I also really like the flexibility of the offer that allows me to attend depending on my needs. Very friendly environment and very kind staff!

This is the second year that I attend an English course at Madrelingua and I am fine. My teacher (both the one from last year and the one from this year, both English) is very good, very prepared and can make us understand and speak in class all the time in English! Furthermore, the audiobook and DVD loan service is really useful, as are the evening conversation groups ... I have found that since I arrived they have always listened to my needs: I believe that I will continue to study at this school again next year !!

Ottima esperienza!!!
Great experience !!! For many years my daughter has been taking Madrelingua English courses and we are happy with them. I do not know how the teachers who are all of the highest level are chosen and trained. Even the atmosphere (very friendly) is really pleasant. I recommend everyone a course in Madrelingua !!!!!!

I am a brazilian and came here with the objective to learn Italian. I arrived here with no knowledge at all of the Italian language, and after those 3 months I am very satisfied with the level C1 I reached thanks to the very well prepared teachers, to the cultural activities the school offers every afternoon, and to the break time, where we go together with all of the students and teachers to a cafe, to practise what we learned and to socialize (one of the moments of the class that I most like because we bond and create a family like vibe!). The price of the school is high, but after taking the leap and studying here I can say with no doubts that it was worth every penny. O thing that helps a lot is the tutor that is present every afternoon in the school. The tutor helps us with the exercises and rework any specific parts of the grammatics that we may have difficulty on upon request... The staff is incredible, the teachers as well as the administrators are really friendly and reliable. They are active on our requests and ideas that we may have and always ready to help us (even with finding a place to stay here in Bologna). In a general point of view, I would say that: regardless of the price (the only point it was difficult, for me at least, to handle since I am a student and yet don't have a fix income) the experience in Madrelingua is excellent and that if we do make good use of everything they offer, our learning curve suffers a biiig deviation upwards, we learn a lot and fast. I recommend it for anyone that wishes to learn Italian!

Excellent school with fun and professional teachers who go out of the way to meet your individual needs. I only spent one week there but from the first day I felt very comfortable and relaxed, both essential components for language learning. I plan on going back next year. Bravo Madrelingua!

I’m having a hard time coming up with enough positive adjectives to describe the teachers (and administrators) at Madrelingua. They are kind, funny, enthusiastic, supportive, concerned, well-trained …. You get the idea. How they maintain all of this day after day, year after year—I’ve studied at Madrelingua three times—is a wonder. At Madrelingua, students learn by doing. All instruction, in fact all interaction, inside and outside of class, is in Italian, from the first buongiorno in the morning, through la pausa at a nearby bar for coffee, to the last a domani in the afternoon. Testing, if it occurs at all, occurs implicitly. Students advance to new groups as their abilities to converse in Italian improve. There is none of the anxiety and pressure often associated with the traditional classroom. As if excellent teaching were not enough, Madrelingua is housed in a gorgeous, be-frescoed set of rooms in the center of one of Italy’s most beautiful cities. Bologna’s happy escape (for now) from mass tourism means that students can practice their growing language skills with the Bolognese, mostly glad to engage with the occasional foreigner learning to speak Italian. The experience of studying a new language as an adult can be alternately joyous and frightening. It’s a joy to understand and be understood in a language not yet your own. It’s scary to try. The teachers and administrators at Madrelingua do everything possible to keep the experience joyous.

I spent three weeks at Madrelingua learning Italian in intensive classes and really enjoyed my time there! All of the teachers are very passionate in what they do, and classes are always very interesting. The post-class activities are also a great way to get in some extra Italian practice + meet new people. I would absolutely recommend Madrelingua to anyone who wants to learn Italian in Bologna!
