Before making a comment I have to make a premise: If you have to go to lunch or dinner I recommend the weekend, the creative efforts of the kitchen are concentrated on Friday and Saturday nights, beyond the appearance of the restaurant and sometimes alas of cleanliness, the kitchen is excellent with all products in km zero and some refined dishes, plus they are very expensive, welcoming and kind.

L'ambiente è rustico e piacevole, da casa di campagna. L'accoglienza è cordiale e amichevole, mette subito a proprio agio. Il pasto inizia con un graditissimo piccolo assaggio per stuzzicare l'appetito. Seguono ottimi antipasti in cui risaltano i prodotti della zona, tra cui segnalo una squisita bresaola di Vobbia ed il pregiato formaggio Montebore. I primi piatti sono una vera eccellenza! Mi hanno colpito i ravioli con farina di canapa conditi al burro ed i pansoti in salsa di noci più buoni che abbia mai mangiato. I secondi, quasi esclusivamente di carne, sono ricchi e gustosi, ho gradito l'arrosto alla nordica con castagne, prugne e cipolle ed uno squisito il filetto al pepe. Non mancano i funghi (quando è stagione) e le serate a tema. Il tiramisù è di una bontà trascendentale. Consiglio caldamente di provare il Vecchio Scalo, avrete l'opportunità di gustare un ottimo pasto genuino ed abbondante ad un prezzo onestissimo, nella tranquillità della campagna dell'entroterra ligure. Family-run trattoria open for twenty years now, a certainty for lovers of good traditional cuisine, with a touch of skilful innovation. The atmosphere is rustic and pleasant, like a country house. The welcome is warm and friendly, immediately puts you at ease. The meal begins with a very welcome little taste to whet your appetite. This is followed by excellent appetizers in which the products of the area stand out, including an exquisite bresaola di Vobbia and the prized Montebore cheese. The first courses are a true excellence! I was struck by the hemp flour ravioli seasoned with butter and the best pansoti in walnut sauce I have ever eaten. The second courses, almost exclusively of meat, are rich and tasty, I liked the Nordic roast with chestnuts, plums and onions and an exquisite fillet with pepper. There is no shortage of mushrooms (when it is in season) and theme nights. Tiramisu is of a transcendental goodness. I highly recommend trying the Vecchio Scalo, you will have the opportunity to enjoy an excellent genuine and abundant meal at a very honest price, in the tranquility of the Ligurian hinterland countryside.
v	vale max on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Locale che non mette soggezione, arredato con mille piccole e grandi cose che vanno guardate una ad una, oggetti, foto, quadri. La cucina è semplicemente spettacolare e le materie prime ottime vengono lavorate con rispetto. La prima volta ci ha stupiti, la seconda una conferma, serata muscoli. A parte la quantità (un bis di primi ed alcuni bis di secondo) la qualità era ottima. Vedere il titolare servire da solo una sala stracolma all'inverosimile senza una sbavatura e dando a tutti la giusta attenzione è stata un'esibizione del miglior Fregoli nel senso più rispettoso e positivo possibile. Torneremo a breve perchè oramai ci sentiamo a casa, perchè tutto è ottimo e perchè sono simpatici, che non è poco. A place that does not put you in awe, furnished with a thousand small and large things that must be looked at one by one, objects, photos, paintings. The kitchen is simply spectacular and the excellent raw materials are processed with respect. The first time it surprised us, the second time a confirmation, evening muscles. Apart from the quantity (an encore of first courses and some encores of second course) the quality was excellent. Seeing the owner serve a room that was overflowing without a burr and giving everyone the right attention was an exhibition of the best Fregoli in the most respectful and positive sense possible. We will return shortly because now we feel at home, because everything is excellent and because they are nice, which is no small thing.

Abbiamo preso 1 primo,1 secondo,1 contorno,acqua,dolce e caffè a testa e abbiamo speso circa 60 €. Il prezzo è nella norma. Il cibo è molto buono e le porzioni sono giuste e la scelta è abbastanza varia e fantasiosa. Da non perdere i dolci che sono insuperabili . Peccato che è in un altra regione quindi per noi un po lontanuccio. Grazie a tutto il personale del locale. BRAVI CONTINUATE COSÌ. We had lunch in this retro place found through TripAdvisor. We took 1 first course, 1 second course, 1 side dish, water, dessert and coffee each and we spent about € 60. The price is in the norm. The food is very good and the portions are just right and the choice is quite varied and imaginative. Don't miss the desserts that are unsurpassed. Too bad it is in another region so for us a bit far away. Thanks to all the staff at the venue. GOOD CONTINUE SO.
