★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is good but what makes a truly great is the love and passion of the family owners. That feel is missing here. All the stress here is on organic healthy eating. I’m all for that but i have never worried that any meal in town was unhealthy. It gets to be tedious. They tout only using true Trapani wheat salt, but no one could tell me why or what it was when I asked. I found the best meals came when I learned the escalator system and got out of the central tourist zone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Al Mangiar Bene is one of the best restaurant I've tried in Perugia. I got it recommend by a local and it is certainly a local restaurant. The food is classical Italian and it is very good. The setting is fantastic, sitting under the big stone arches. Surprisingly it is not very expensive. I can highly recommend this restaurant to others visiting Perugia!
